The difference between musk and gates is that musk isn't trying to conspire with the government to make the chips mandatory, whether or not you think its a bad choice to interface with technology is debatable, and it should be talked about; but musk is working in service of humanity, not himself.

What separates him from people like Bill Gates is that Gates is trying to use the virus as an excuse to have mandatory chips on people with sly language relating to a vaccine. I was just making a joke. In this case I actually agree with you, and think the logic is sound. Kinda maybe sorta. With the caveat that I know nothing about the particular chip, interface, or abilities it might produce.

I've always felt like Tesla was the real American electric car. You've got things like the Nissan Leaf available if you want to show off how oh so important the climate change and practicality is to you. I mean why would a good pretend socialist buy an expensive showy Tesla when they don't have to?

I didn't think about oil changes, I bet the maintenance is super low. The last time I took my SUV for plain old normal maintenance I about had a heart attack. Car shops have gotten ridiculous so it's back to doing it myself for me.

Seriously... I live in Arizona and my sister-in-law is a nurse at the hospital. They are so slow and empty that they have furloughed half the staff at the hospital and she is only working 1 day a week. The hospital is like 85% empty. Yet we are still shut down for the most part, for some stupid reason.
The whole thing is insane.
Oh and, none of our hospitals had PPE shortages because unlike terribly run NYC hospitals they were stocked and prepared and were actually shipping supplies to other states that needed it.
Yet, we are still laying off healthcare workers because we are shut down in this state for reasons.

Also he only committed to moving HQ, not the plant. Even just the offices will probably take many months to move. When one of my last jobs relocated across country, all office based, it took 4 months.
He also said he would consider moving the manufacturing/plant depending on how the county treated him. Which assuming they go hard/arrest/etc. he absolutely will, but moving that would take years. Scouting land, buildings, retrofitting, getting permits for existing lands, building, transport, getting labor to move or hire new labor...
He is moving the HQ. the plant in freemont will stay. Still Cali still loses the taxes if Elon even paid any.
