I honestly don't know what's worse...

On one hand, you have turncoats like McCain and Romney who openly hate Trump and aren't afraid to take heat from the GOP or Fox because of it...

And then you have the do-nothings like Graham and Gowdy. They bootlick for the president in public, but in private are no different. They're just as schemey, but are much harder to call out unless it's by Tucker Carlson.

ohhhh gowdy isn't a do-nothing. he had a role. remember when the russia russia russia thing first took off big, and then we had mueller? we were all told it was an investigation into trump's alleged ties with russia. it was gowdy who i first heard characterize it, at least to the fox news audience, as that not being the case. he was the one going on there and defending it and saying it wasn't about trump/russia, but just about russia and their interference, and he'd say trump supporters should want to see it continue so we can weed out russia. but then sometimes he'd even flip flop back to saying things like how trump should act like he's innocent.

anyway, gowdy's role was to pretend to be the ball-busting conservative type, and go on fox and get all the trumpkins, to fool them/us into believing that mueller was really just looking into russia, and not trump. gowdy was an active part of the coup. and honestly tucker didn't take it to gowdy nearly as much as he could have. gowdy pretended to be confused at the idea that russia hacked the DNC and tucker let him get away with that. crowdstrike claiming russia hacked the DNC is what allowed the FBI to initiate crossfire hurricane after someone overhears popadopalous talking about hillary's emails (supposedly taken by russia). that then eventually morphs into 2+yrs of mueller. the whole damn thing came from the narrative that russia hacked the DNC and now gowdy goes on tucker and pretends to never have heard that theory. a theory he himself probably supported in the past. all tucker could say was 'some people have said it, and some were republicans'. he could've said 'everything in the past 4 yrs happened because of that narrative and you're actually playing dumb acting like you've never heard that?'

what gowdy tried to get away with was just completely stunning.
