We are also not in this together with celebrities in their ivory towers who were urging us to stay home while they had their meals provided for them, no risk of losing their homes, massive palaces with tons of distractions and the likes. It drove me up a wall seeing movie stars, athletes and musicians claim to be like us while they recorded videos by their pools, home gyms, massive kitchens. I’m not saying that they should not have those things, they sucked a lot of people off to get where they are today, but they are not me. My parents are filthy rich but they never pretended to be part of the suffering class - instead they put their money where their mouth is and even in their old age, continued to donate to organizations helping those in need (with supplies, food, etc). These celebrities posted Instagram videos of them lecturing us or singing yet couldn’t be bothered to help those out who are suffering.
