You mean we can't sustain this model where 1/3 of us live off the government??

And people will take their own lives, and not get attention to other life-threatening issues?

There are a couple of ways to view that statement.

Warning.

Threat.

Which one is it?

Unfortunately he can’t cause fauci is a federal employee; not appointed by trump; so he has to do something that can get himself fired. It’s fucked up.

How about endangering the lives of 36 million people who have lost their jobs?

Yeah you’d think that but the plausible denial factor he has been playing with is what’s keeping him there. He’s gonna get canned eventually though

This guy talks out of his ass so much for a “scientist”. Case in point, when he stated that certainly the Chinavirus death count was higher than reported in New York. Based on what evidence? Someone needs to throw his anecdotal evidence comment back in his face.

He's been consistently wrong for 35 years! Throw him to the curb in disgrace!

He wasn't even wrong by percentage points. He was wrong by magnitudes. His expertise is as valuable as tossing a hotdog at a dartboard for advice.

Fuck this outrage machine bullshit.

Why should I accept the mainstream media's narrative of what he said?

I have my own narrative: Fauci has a strong opinion based on his field of study, which he's allowed to have as an American. He's also allowed to voice that opinion to anyone who will listen.

The mainstream media is also free to editorialize it into something completely absurd, and I'm free to ignore their mischaracterization and think about what Fauci actually said and give it proper weight against what other people are saying.

I can do all of that, gaining a real understanding of the facts, simply by not buying in to the media-generated bullshit narrative. At all.
