Not a great sign. The two parties concerned (DOJ and Flynn) are both in agreement. This is not a matter of public policy, so no one else's opinion should matter.

Absolutely. When it's the freedom of an individual that is at stake everything is interpreted to his benefit. Better to let 10 guilty men set free than to let 1 innocent man suffer.

To my mind, it's very much a matter of public policy when a large array of government officials have presented false and misleading information to a court in an effort to destroy a political opponent who is likely to expose their long history of criminal abuse of their positions, and when they fail to achieve their objective, just walk away and the whole matter is dropped. Looks to me like a bunch of people should be facing contempt of court and/or perjury charges in connection with their efforts to get Flynn convicted and out of the way.
