Technically, Trump won by 20% in 2016, but the Republican only won by 5% in 2018, so this result is a huge improvement since then.

And both now and in 2018, Trump himself wasnt on the ballot, so a lot of Trump supporters (not republican supporters) didn’t bother to come out for either.

You read the absolute difference based on the total number of voters (16%), I read the relative difference based on the number of voters for each candidate.

38% more people voted for Tom Tiffany compared to Tricia Zunker.

Now we can really appreciate the scale of the landslide.
