"The word used in the Bible (2 Peter) is the Ancient Greek φωσφόρος ‘phosphoros’, the ancient name for the planet Venus. Literally, "light-bringer". It is interpreted by some Christians as allegory for Jesus Christ; see for example Daystar University."
but lucifer has been translated to mean 'light bringer' and is associated with venus, also known as the 'morning star' or 'day star'
just type lucifer and day star or light bringer into google and see what all comes up. i've never heard of the jesus connection with either of those things but have known about the lucifer connection for decades.
That may also be true. But here we're talking about a network focused on Jesus. Edited to add their mission statement: "Daystar Television Network has a singular goal; to reach souls with the good news of Jesus Christ."
isn't 'daystar' an allusion to lucifer
