A friend of mine asked me what I think about Trump. I told him I loved the guy. He said really? I can’t believe your a Republican.
My answer was I’m not, and neither is Trump.
We must never forget that they pulled out ALL the stops to try and prevent him from even getting he nomination.
He used the Republican Party to get to the Presidency. He did not run on established Republican norms. They tried to stop him from getting the nomination. They used their majority to stall him for two years. They vote with the Democrats whenever they need to. They use him wherever they can to push through things that align with Republican norms but stifle anything that does not.
Don’t kid yourself, just because he has gained a few followers or converts to MAGA agenda, doesn’t mean he isn’t still at war with the entirety of the Washington political class, regardless of what letter precedes their name!
True, but everyone we need to vote for in order to MAGA will have an R next to their name on the ballot. And while it's always very important to vote for the GEOTUS for POTUS, it's also very important to vote for Republicans for Congressman and Senators too, because in order for Trump to really get stuff done long term, we need to control both houses of Congress in addition to the White House.
Yes! I tell that to everybody. He would have worked with the dems. Remember when he offered DACA in exchange for funding for the wall? He works with ANYBODY! He couldn't build skyscrapers in Manhattan if he isn't willing to work with anybody.
Did he though, or is he just a smart enough politician to figure out where the winds are blowing?
I’d like to believe he has, but I honestly don’t believe any of them.
Best bet for us is we be get some actual MAGA people, newcomers to Washington who aren’t just the best of the worst.
We should have been working these last few years to getting some actual Lions to run against the swamp.
We have 4 more years (rest of this one is just about the election), to make a large enough dent in their power base that we actually stand a chance once Trump is gone.

Yes. Trump is really the 1st independent president. If Dems didnt go all looney tunes I bet Trump would have worked with them.

Sen. Lee (and Sen. Cruz) literally tried to steal the nomination from Trump on the convention floor
