She promised to fix the roads. Michigan roads suck. People immediately knew they made a mistake as once she took office, she wanted to add a $1.50 per gallon gas tax to pay for the roads... people said... "Hell no. You crazy." Turns out... yup. batshit power hungry too.

FuckReddit4545 10 points ago +10 / -0

I like how one the simplest things to do in our country still gets fucked up by government. It's a road, it's literally a flat piece of pavement.

5
Tsujin 5 points ago +5 / -0

They spent 20 million to redo one small intersection in my town in Illinois that is not even that busy. Massive government waste.

Give the government a task, and they will find a way to spend multiple times more than a private company would to do the same thing.

3
thisisatestof2 3 points ago +3 / -0

In a nearby town they redid a section of road about 4 miles long. At no point did they ever tell the utility company to raise their manholes and paved over all of them. Then when the utility found out they forced the state to dig them up and fix it for them since they never followed the rules.

2
FuckReddit4545 2 points ago +2 / -0

The CA bullet train was this just scaled up. These projects are nothing but a scam to funnel money to the friends / people who got said politician elected. How in the hell does an intersection cost 20 million? Oh that's right, it doesn't. We need to fix things at all levels. Local, State, Nationwide and everything in between.

Also, people blame the Republican Gov. for the Flint crisis when most of the blame really falls on the Flint Mayor being crooked as fuck.

Along with pot and roads

5
FuckReddit4545 5 points ago +5 / -0

Wasn't the mayor the one on camera flipping that switch that messed with the water source that caused the whole thing to begin with?

Pot had zip to do with it. I work in the mj industry and almost all of our e.oyees and owner support trump. We are capitalist Nd patriots. I even employ over 60 veterans on my staff. So your bias is incorrect and don't ask to be free and then step on my freedom. Same with the Mask. If u scared, stay home. Don't like pot, don't use it. Simple and yet even supposed patriots can't seem to figure it out. You are still enslaved. By the way. Dems didn't pass most legal mj. Republicans did. Its business

We are going to have a “new normal” where everyone is unemployed and miserable, just like the typical liberal.

And dependent on the state.

True story: Last night in Tom's new district, one of the local cops in one of the tiny farming towns tried to personally shutter the bars. He got publicly reamed by a county mountie after a mob gathered prepared to rectify the local policing issue themselves.

I was a deputy sheriff when I was in LE for 12 years. We did tend to be more service oriented to the community. But there were times I was the o ly deputy in 1000 square miles so I'm you didn't have good relationships when you needed help there would be none. I love that people exercise their rights. Carry a gun, go to church and work. We are Americans. That means we stand up and fight back. Trust me, they can't stop us and lose the will quickly when large groups of patriots band together. Good luck pedes

I am sorry about your job. It really sucks how the job losses were worse than the virus,

This was so overblown. It is a virus that the majority of people recover from, but we rarely heard about the recoveries.

I've heard so many reports of barbers cutting hair in people's houses. I've heard about so many people now working under the table in good old untraceable cash that it's not even funny.

Find something made In cHina and start maki g it here. All the Chinese goods that have left the shelf are not being replaced yet. Perhaps they are already being made in other countries. Also I e saved lots of money during g this but I did work 56 out of 61 days.

They say we have 1.43 million cases

Probably not even that many: https://archive.vn/dWg1W

"The Virginia Department of Health announced it will now count the number of positive virus tests instead of the number of people who test positive.

That means if one person is tested three-times and all three tests come back positive, it counts as three instead of how the numbers were being counted before, which would have only been one because it was a single patient."

1
HockeyMom4Trump 1 point ago +2 / -1

When I look at MN stats I always figure it out myself. They post the number of cases: 10,000! Oh no! And then the deaths: 500. That right there brings cases to 9,500. Then I find "no longer needing isolation" which is a freaky way to say recovered. That number might be 8,000. So that really means there are only 1,500 active cases out there, not 10,000 like they want people to believe and get worked up about. Shady way they do statistics. You have to take effort and do a bit of math, which is tough for the liberal morons in this state.

There are small businesses already closing in MN. I know a few restaurants that just said they could not recover from an extended shutdown and closed. The Bachelor Farmer is one of them. Small business will suffer numerous deaths.

Millions and millions unemployed. It's disgraceful what they've done to our economy. OPEN UP AMERICA.

I am in central IL. Almost the whole state has already told Pritzker to fuck off and is open/opening. Bars and sit down eating in my area open tomorrow the 15th.

Just talked with my friend in the north west suburbs yesterday (right outside of Chicago). He goes into people's homes for appliance maintenance. Even he is back at work!

10
NormaJeanRocks 10 points ago +10 / -0

Yep, I'm in Madison County, we voted to open up yesterday, with plans to be at 100% by mid June...Pritzker is salty as hell about it. Hoping most other counties do the same.

4
JoePCool14 4 points ago +4 / -0

Shit, really? I might need to take a road trip to get out of my area. The vicious but also useless Karen thrives here and our dining rooms will be closed for months I guarantee it.

YOU CAN NOT LOCK PEOPLE INTO THEIR HOMES UNABLE TO EARN MONEY FOR MONTHS ON END.

A simple fact.

20
HockeyMom4Trump 20 points ago +20 / -0

When the government shuts down a few days or a couple weeks it is a problem, but the government can shut down private business for months and it’s supposedly just fine?

The destruction of our economy will cause more death than the virus.

My mother has a friend with an 88 year old mother. That 88 year old was so depressed from isolation that she shot herself in the head last week. We don’t hear much about these situations in the news, but they are happening.

I don't disagree. It's sad, but many people are unsteady and being isolated, watching nothing but doom and gloom on CNN, and being unsure when you will ever get to see you family again can mess with people's minds. Some people see what's going on and think, "What's the point of living? I can't leave my house. I can't see the grandkids. Money is tight..."

Thank God. Let people take their own responsibility. I think if the ruling would have went the other way Evers would have us locked down until August like California.

5

But but but we should shut down until there is a vaccine even though we have no idea when a vaccine will be made or if it ever will.

4

And if a vaccine were created, they'd want to stay shut down until death itself has been cured!

WASHINGTON STATE. and it saddens me to say the police in many of those states will violate their oaths. As a former LE I just give warning to you all as LE. KEEP YOUR OATHS and it is not to the system. Don't fuck this up or we are going to fight you. These cops are fat, unknowledgeable of their duties and law, undisciplined in their own lives. Basically cops that can't think the law correctly. It makes me ashamed

5

Imagine shutting your state down simply because you hate Trump. The lock-downs have gone on long enough. Not sure what they are going to do in LA County, there's no way they can keep people at home for three more months. We flattened the curve, we did our jobs. The streets were barren for over a month, shops closed, many places are going to be out of business, the people did our fucking part and then some.
