People see the 1% of the culture and assume that if they behave in the same manner they will also have a path to success, because let's face it, most people are inherently lazy unwilling to improve themselves. They turn to external sources to achieve for them rather than create value in themselves.
It's far more common in less wealthy communities because there is no support for your neighbor, it's a very "fuck you, I got mine" attitude that quickly changes to "He has it I deserve it", or "they have more so they can stand to lose more".
With very few social structures in place to deter the behavior and nothing encouraging or incentivizing the individual to become a productive member of society.
The solution isn't throwing money at the problem, it's building that social net and community so people have some place to turn when they need structure. That used to be the church, but a community run alternative would also be supremely beneficial to snuffing out that type of destructive culture.

Yep, it's the same reason we have the "homeless problem". It is 100% enabled, and the more it is enabled, the more homeless you will have. I recently red pilled a group of friends on this when they were discussing the homeless issue we have in our town and what to do about it. I asked them why the neighboring town of similar size and far lower economic status has essentially no homeless population while we have a plague of them. A couple of my friends got the correct answered immediately: "Because we cater to them."

Eastern Europe suffered under communism for generations, yet they are coming out strong. Meanwhile Africa suffered under colonialism, but the second that ended Africa began regressing to the fucking Bronze Age as fast as they could. Reality doesn't agree with your idealist assertion that this is not a race thing.

As soon as the missionaries left the African's ate the crops that weren't ready, then the seeds for the next season, then sold all the farming equipment they were given. Literally learned nothing, and no concept of preparing for the future. It sounds cruel, but the world really needs to allow Darwinism to run it's course.

I think we should return to allowing people to determine who they want in their communities. That would almost certainly leave room for people like you in the community you're in, while halting the complete eradication of such communities across the entire country.
Before they at least had some morals; resolve conflicts with words, and if worse gets to worst, a fist fight, and that would be it. Now, they shoot without a thought. Don't wanna put on a facemask? Boom. Someone insulted you, maybe cut you off in a line? Shoot them. And of course none of them have any weapons or permits or anything legally. I have no sympathy for these people.
