Because it’s politically useless to them. It has nothing to do with precedent or decorum.
The left will be going after whoever the next Republican President is, because that is where the power struggle will then be.
Obama should absolutely be indicted and he should be tried for his crimes. This isn’t about power or what is politically expedient, this is about justice and the rule of law.
This whole nonsense is not even about Trump, it's about intimidating future republicans with a smaller set of balls from ever running for office. Communists play the long game thinking 50 to 100 years in advance. It doesn't matter one bit if they never live to see it because they don't believe in individual human lives, only the life of the collective.
Reagan sucked his entire second term. It was Iran-Contra and giving up both houses of congress and nominating Anthony Kennedy. The "tear down this wall" remark was barely mentioned in the media and we learned about it as history.
