No, they said that big tech was "essential to the future of free speech." There's a difference. It's similar to how Soetoro wanted to "fundamentally change America."

This is exactly how the Lawfare crowd talks and operates.

Beat me to it. If you analyze what they say closely, not just at face value, you will quickly see the alternate message/meaning they’re conveying.
