Both my wife and I got furloughed and are collecting unemployment. We earned too much and aren't eligible for the aid. We can meet our bills with just the UI till we hopefully get our jobs back (no kids yet, no debt, just a mortgage).

How the hell is my 2018 income an indication of my need level today? How many working people are getting this, while unemployed people aren't?
