While I appreciate the sentiment,many were forced out of work due to no fault of their own. They aren't being "given" anything.

How aren't they given anything? I was laid off 5 years ago through no fault of my own and I didn't get shit. 250 a week in unemployment. Woo-hoo. Imo we shouldn't get shit, we should have to figure it out just like I did. Ramen for weeks. Let them starve.
