They'd invite a foreign power to invade at the very least. I mean, the US is the only country on the planet that can support a force anywhere in the world for a prolonged period. China would have to start colonies and live on the land. A war the scale it would take to subdue even the west coast would literally break their country at the foundation.
It's why there haven't been any major wars between countries with a central bank. The bankers can just buy off politicians and whole countries these days.
