Ugh, not that I want to support that guy, but this article is missing a critical piece of information. The results of the code may have been different computer to computer, but by how much? Its actually fairly normal for simulations to produce different outputs for the same input on complex problems. I regularly use ANSYS, one of the worlds best and most powerful FEA packages and I regularly get different answers for the same exact models across different machines. The question is are the results 50% different each time or 0.05% different.
Don’t get me wrong, I still think this guy is a total fraud based on his past track record with predicting other disease outbreaks. His models are very obviously faulty and broken. No one should have ever taken a word this guy said seriously and he should have been fired years ago. I’m all for holding this guy accountable for the panic his “models” have caused, but the engineer in also wants us asking the correct questions and not blindly attacking statements that don’t paint the whole picture.
