Both are available in pills. In the one-a-day vitamins. Vitamin D is available by itself. But don't overdose on it. Sunlight is even better, for vitamin D. But realistically lots of people can't get enough sunlight, so the pills are useful.
Most docs are not bright! I wasn't told by a doc until I was 42 about Vitamin D. All my other docs were idiots telling me I had fibromyalgia when all I needed was D!
Regarding virion cell infection, Vitamin A sits one side of a body's cells and Vitamin D sits on the other. With enough of both, you could wipe Smallpox straight into your eyeball and not even get a sniffle.
I'm not a doctor, but Vitamin D has a link to immunity. Low on vitamin D and your body becomes susceptible to a maryid of things. Keep that up and your immune system is boosted to fight things off. Recently a vitamin D deficiency has been linked to skin diseases and even things like migraines
And keeping people inside for months only weakness the immune system and no sun, no vitamin D. Staying inside only makes it worse.

You can just have a milkshake since vitamin d is plentiful in milk, or dark leafy greens such as spinach.
That would explain why the burka people in Iran was so ravaged by the virus.

I used to get every cold and flu that passed by...and my kids would bring home germs from school all the time, so I got sick a lot.
After a couple of bouts with sinus infection and bronchitis just a few months apart, I started taking 5000 IU of vitamin D daily.
I won't say I never get sick anymore, but it's rare. And usually it's very brief, only 1-2 days of feeling bad. Such an improvement!
