It's an illogical concept. But here's the rub: using that logic, we are strengthening individualism but ONLY in ourselves. Individualism makes us vulnerable ESPECIALLY when other groups are collectivist. White people need to be collectivist because nonwhites by and large have no interest in being individualists.
