Yup, just appeared in "these unprecedented times", which I now hear about 100 times per day. How organic.

"In these uncertain times"

Like when the fuck has there ever been certain times?? Like before this virus we all knew exactly what was going to happen and everything went according to the best laid plans? Life is always uncertain, it always has been and it always will. There could be a goddamned meteorite plummeting through the atmosphere on its way to your dome at any given moment.

But point taken.

Every commercial I hear is now customized for these "uncertain times". Even infomercials have turned to selling masks and stuff. What a racket that must be. Get the population terrified, require masks in stores in Dem states then sell a bunch of masks.

I reply to every email like that this way: “Is COViD-19 the same as the Chinese Virus?”

Even the car commercials. I love those. "Millions of Americans lost their jobs and are worrying about paying their bills...so they should go out and make one of the biggest purchases they can make outside of purchasing a home."

Makes you want to rethink your Costco membership doesn't it?

I'm also getting a little sick of hearing "stay safe." I usually tell people that I don't plan on licking any public doorknobs or toilet seats if that's what they mean. Otherwise, nothing I've been doing, including going out without a mask, is "unsafe."

I only use my TV to watch a movie or show. These dumbass catchphrases are driving me insane. Here's a few more for everyone's blood pressure.

Stay safe, stay home! Do your part! Shelter in place In this together

Well I mean we were watching the virus as it came quickly but also it's not like it really snuck up on us. A lot were watching it. We had a lot of time to get all these weird new names.

Social distancing isnt nearly as bad as "a new normal" even then it's a temporary normal as I will not accept a total return to anything less than total freedom like before. A temporary normal actually isnt normal. Its abnormal.

I don't know why people calling it a new normal. It's a temporary abnormal but as you can see the dems want to keep us locked up as long as possible, so that's obviously why they want to force their new authoritarian controlled "we will arrest you if you're doing anything more than buying food" normal. I'm just going to keep calling it a temporary abnormal

Agreed. It reminds me how people talk about 9/11. People act like it was the attack itself that irreversibly changed the world instead of realizing it was our reaction to it that really changed things.

Creepy how a 1800 page stimulus bill popped out of the ass of the government in no time. Like it was pre written and ready to go and they just had to change a few names and words. Almost like it was planned.

All of these dopey terms lead to one conclusion: POWER GRAB

Data 22 points ago +23 / -1

What are our counter-terms? We need to fight this programming actively in our everyday interactions, online and off.

  • Social Distancing == Involuntary Separation
  • Stay at Home Order == Illegal Lockdown
  • New Normal == Manufactured Change
  • Alone Together == Empty Platitudes

I'm sure other people can do it better than I. It's important that we don't use their words and let them win the language war.

I've been countering "New Normal" with "Temporary Abnormal." It doesn't roll off the tongue, but it's 100% accurate.

I did have another I've been using:

"Mandatory Masks" = "Signalling Compliance"

'The Coup Normal'

.. really drills right down to motivations.

I like it, but it's probably too clever for normies to understand.

Fuck that shit.

How else do you enslave an armed population? Raiding homes door by door is much easier than facing an amassed armed force.

4
KeyboardWarrior 4 points ago +4 / -0

Well. We had to remind them that we are still armed.

Good thing most of us took the red pill. We saw right though each of these vile phrases from day one.

I also think an underlying part of this plan is to make people stop interacting publicly. They can better monitor/censor people who communicate electronically. Outside of black vans and parabolic microphones, they can't tell or control what people say to each other in backyards and public gathering places. I've noticed even common courtesies like "Thank you" and "Excuse me" garner dirty looks from some of these morons. These divisive pieces of human garbage would love for that to continue.
