But damn... other places seem so nice. In pretty much every other state I could buy a small mansion for the same price as a 3 bed/2 bath costs in SoCal... It’s definitely not the most red state in the union (although that might be changing) but Minnesota definitely looks nice...
I have an idea - IF they are going to bail out states, fine, make it a one time PER citizen payment.
FL = 22,000,000
NY = 19,500,000
Maybe $100 per US Citizen.
SO - about $ 2 Billion each to FL and NY (as example). DONE.
Now those "not broke" Red States get a windfall that fair, they will do the right thing and do a rebate to their people, the Blue States that are a wreck will be SO angry.
The point here is fair, not skewed to help those that have crappy states.
Southern Oregon & most of Northern California should make their own State.
Mountains, rivers, beaches, agriculture, forests...
Conservatives that care about effective conservation.
Don't come to Washington State, the grass is green but the State is as Blue as it gets!

Good for you. Seventeen years ago I fled a blue state (CT) for FL. It had been my wish for years prior and was finally realized - BEST MOVE EVER!
