There are a lot of liberals who blindly vote Rat because they are completely ignorant as to what the Rat party is actually doing. These are the people who watch the MSM and believe everything they are being told.
The far left are more than just a fringe minority in this country. They got assholes like AOC and Omar elected, they keep traitors like Pelosi and Schumer in office decade after decade, and they've nearly elected an unabashed Socialist named Bernie Sanders... TWICE in the last 4 years. It would be fair to say they're mostly ignorant brainwashed idiots, but they're ignorant brainwashed idiots who vote, and they're very loyal to the Twitter-Facebook-based religion of Orange Man Bad. That makes them extremely dangerous.
The only surefire way to suppress this religion is to win the information war. It starts in the schools and in the media. If we can't stop the brainwashing centers and open propaganda outlets we will lose to them eventually. And they've got a ~50 year head start. Losing means losing the republic, and probably a shooting war. If we can't figure this shit out and press our offensive the reckoning is assured.
Rigging, cheating, manipulated ballot gathering, and active suppression in Blue strongholds got those outcomes.
I should know, I live in darkblueland and very closely monitored minute by minute the 2016 Dem Primary and General and many 2018 items. There was and is blatant widespread fraud to keep power.

However, 80-90% of the nation's media have so far done a great job of keeping much of the country in the dark and genuinely unaware of what has actually happened.
We have say 329M documented residents, and well over 300M citizens in the US.
We have 200M working age adults and another 60M retirees. Officially.
Of those, 146M are registered to vote. Which is 6M less than in 2018, and 54M less than in 2016 interestingly enough.
That's an awful lot of walking away, and Rs have seen their numbers swell with Trump.
So we have barely more than HALF of adult citizens even REGISTERED currently.
Of those, only 29% of REGISTERED VOTERS are Dem, a fair contingent just haven't bothered to change that but have stopped aligning with the current Party, and a significant portion of those that vote blue still are disengaged or unaware of most politics.
Note that the highly driven 2016 Presidential Election garnered a "whopping" ~129M of 200M potential votes for ALL candidates, and only ~66M were D votes.
66M out of ~200M registered adult citizens voted for the quintessential neoliberal Dem. Well under half. More didn't vote AT ALL who could have than voted D.
Of those Dems who are still registered today, a hefty portion over say age 50 are, in fact, also what you would call classical liberals in personal values- but are oblivious that the MSM is propaganda and naively trust them to speak only facts and truth. And vote accordingly.
So dial back your hostility and rage and disdain- and recognize you are ignoring the bulk of American citizens while also smearing a large contingent of potential same-minded voters who are simply badly informed.
