Taiwan at least isn't a global rival and would be a staunch ally in any forseeable conflicts.

They HATE China, so I think it's safe to say they would.

Sounds like a great way to get stuck with ancient tech, China style. We make deals with our allies, we do not extort them. Taiwan, South Korea, and Japan are 3 countries you should learn to respect. They are worthy allies.

You have no idea how powerful TSMC is. They would laugh at our demands. You think they need us? And you dont fuck over your allies. Taiwan is based.

Why do you think it's a good idea to pick a fight with one of our largest allies in the area? Are you dense? We need everyone for the upcoming war vs the CCP. We need to be united. Fair trade > screwing over your friends.

That's not gonna happen because this is one of those cases where Taiwan is the one who owns the production line. Taiwan has the #1 and #3 spot in the industry with the US taking #2 spot. You either buy from them or you don't get the chips.

It's not a US business outsourcing jobs. It's Taiwan out competing the US. Now Globalfoundries, which is a US semiconductor company and for some reason has 5 fucking factories in Singapore instead of in the US can be forced back into the country.
