It's the height of irony that every major bank has had policy rules prohibiting the wearing of masks or other facial covering in their lobbies for decades. In fact, there are a lot of other high-risk businesses that have similar policies in order to ensure they get a good clear image of your face on their security cameras when you enter the property.
Suddenly all that logic and decades of expertise goes right out the window and everyone just walks into their local branch with a bandana tied around their face like Billy the Kid or some other Old West bank robber.

The other day, I thought I had to go to the bank.
I called first.
They said that to enter, I had to wear a mask.
I said, look, I know it's not your fault. You don't make the rules. But it's a stupid rule.
Someone, somewhere, has created a rule that says people can enter the bank with their faces covered? That's stupid.
She agreed.
Turns out I didn't have to go after all.
Thank goodness.
