The president was stopped by a federal judge from deleting assholes from his twitter feed years ago. Because the citizens need to be able to redress grievances etc. They also said that his feed needed to be archived for history.

But they can now censor it and delete anyone’s stuff????

The tech sector is not owned by shadow banking cartels, it's been infected by hiring ivy league indoctrinated marxists.

Great point! If it needs to be archived for posterity or security or whatever, then they are SOoooo wrong for doing this.

Of course they’re only breaking their own arbitrary bullshit laws, so it probably won’t stand up in court.

"rules for thee not for me" isn't some strawman that we made up to trash the libs. it's just what they actually believe.

All we need to do is have the FCC change definitions of social media platforms from platform to publisher

A platform is similar to your phone company or internet service provider. They are not Legally responsible for what you say on the phone or type online, and therefore they do not restrict or censor in any way these activities unless you are using them for something overtly illegal such as distribution of copy written material or downloading of child pornography, stuff like that

A PUBLISHER is like a magazine or news company. They are legally responsible for the articles they publish and so they carefully look at and censor any topics which they feel go against their company mission statement

Right now social media platforms have the protection of being a platform but behave as a publisher. By making them a publisher it opens them up to lawsuits for materials they produce, and that includes any tweet or post by anyone

Forget the publisher/platform BS. POTUS needs to arrest Twitter officials and put them in prison.

This is apart of the presidential record, they have violated the records act.

They are taunting Trump. This was as public and in your face as it gets.

play stupid games, win stupid prizes. Myspace thought its shit didn't stink at one point either. If the president leaves the platform, they're done.

Imagine being so weak in your own arguments that you choose to silence your opposition instead of defending your beliefs.

Pathetic and evil.

Apply the first amendment to any company registered as a platform and allow anyone banned on those platforms to sue them. A platform is a place where ANYONE can speak their opinion. And anyone can counter that opinion with their own. By denying them their right to speak on a public platform, you have denied them their First Amendment rights and should be liable because of it. The Platform protections are not there for the company's protection from censoring us. It is there so that we can say what ever the fuck we wish and the companies can not be held liable for it. There is literally no need to censor anyone with those protections in place, so if you are censoring people you are doing it for other reasons.

They're bold enough to do this to a sitting president, and get away with it; imagine how badly they're fucking over average people whose voices are barely loud enough to be heard. They want you dead and silenced because they fear what you say to expose their bullshit.

Twitter curators are likely a bunch of twenty something twinks and blue haired whales giddy over the near absolute power they hold on this single platform.

Nothing can be done because Twitter is a private website and by making an account you agree to let them do this. :/

Okay, and until they re-designate Twitter as a publisher you can't do shit about it. No one can.
