I dropped Netflix when they put Susan Rice on the board and they started funding Obama legacy crap. Basically using the public stock market to launder money to the democrats. Like Simon and Shuster and others have been doing for years. That being said, I bought the stock when it dipped below 250 and watch it every day to take profits quickly. The fun is when I vote in the proxy against Rice.
I'll share my low-tech tip from my youth. Sticking your fingers in your ears, closing your eyes, and humming for as long as it takes to hum longer than the commercial still keeps me from having to watch/hear that crap. You do have to take a peak every now and again to see if it's over or not, but, with a little practice you'll get more and more accurate as to when it's time to remove the fingers, open the eyes, and stop humming. They may want to celebrate being in it together, but I don't and won't.

I've never had an anxiety, and I don't buy into any of the covid hysteria, but even I felt my heartrate pip up. If I was actually buying into the scare tactics, that might just terrify me.
It's a full court press, fear mongering, endless stream of Covid group think "We're all in this together bullshit" from the commercials right into the programs.. It's like a non stop funeral meant to depress the people rather than give them hope. It acts to demoralize those who consume this garbage and that's exactly what they want.

I even stopped consuming music for the most part. That's one I never saw coming. I've been a musician myself for most of my life.
But once you realize almost all famous people are prostitutes in one way or another, why bother anymore? They all have one master and are completely immoral and corrupt. It does us no good to pay them any heed. They can only harm. So now I make and upvote spicy memes, and create products for my side business in my spare time. Way more profitable and enriching than constant dumb consumption of media.
The other day I was talking to my friend's dad and he asked, "what do you use for your videos? Netflix?"
I said "no.." he just rattled them all off.. "oh are you on Hulu then?"
"Nope."
"oh then you must just use your Amazon account".
"No, I don't have Amazon either"..
"So then what do you use?"
"If I like something, I buy it - so I just use the mail."
"the mail? I haven't heard of that. Is it like netflix?"
I haven't watched a lot of mainstream news, but I'd still watch some on occasion, but i just stay away completely now. Everything they say is dripping with bullshit, it's not even worth it.
I get my news from YouTube exclusively now. You can get Whitehouse pressers, and lots of varied YouTubers who cover a variety of topics. MSM is useless to me.
If you watch cable news at all you are just torturing yourself. Tim Poole has a decently fair podcast on political commentary. Most of the other stuff I look up myself from independent sources. Unbiased news is dead.

It's the non-stop drumbeat of fear porn and "muh new normal," it's reporters using masks as props, it's every goddamn commercial reminding you about the Chyna Virus, it's misinformed hacks spouting talking points and lies. The news can be distilled down to four words: "Be afraid" and "Trump sucks."
My wife watches Fox Business and fills me in, unfortunately my elder MIL is living with us for awhile and she watches local news in the morning - I have to leave the room sometimes when they start spewing their bullshit. I don't watch news at all.
