I wish I could understand what the gameplan is here. I don't see a scenario where they'll stop short of total destruction. They won't stop on their own, as far as I can tell...

The scenario is that protests keep happening, the courts get involved from lawsuits brought by citizens, the states eventually are forced open by judges not Trump. Any collateral damage is not attributed to him, and all the democrat governors are voted out if they are up for reelection.

My only guess is that they for some reason think the political fallout of not bailing out their States, soon to be embarassed and forced to declare bankruptcy, is that for some reason they think running their States into the ground will hurt the MAGA movement more than their own.

Which makes no sense, no matter how stupid people are, the money involved in Blue State total recovery compared to the money to effectively deal with Kung Flu are so disparate as to not belong in the same bill. We can easily prove that and no vessel of populous will or currently existing legal change will see the Blue States come out ahead: not even if they threaten secession.

So yeah the Dems are either actively hurting our nation and making us a soft target for WW3 (and inadvertently making us repatriate industry & critical infrastructure) or they are the most incompetent batch of con-artist Politicians to ever exist. Because Trump has them beat on his handling of Covid, and has all the cards in his hand that he needs to MAGA harder than ever.

I will laugh my ass off if this Christmas is the biggest 4th quarter shopping season in recorded history. All the dems will have done is unify people and make them grateful for what is good in their life, very little of which they can attribute to the Far Left or Nancy Pelosi's poor stewardship of Dem goals.

Unfortunately here in Washington they will not go bankrupt there are far too many huge corps to keeps thing going and far too many people employed by them who don't want to give up kush jobs, looking at you Boeing. Odd that all of them haven't skipped a beat. They are all still able to employ 10's of thousands of people but a bar or restaurant can't seem to make it work. They are crushing the little guys and the larger you are the more you gain by them dropping off. It's about control. You are absolutely correct the only thing that will stop them is the people at this point but here the majority are far too complacent.
