Here in Oregon Child Services are the KGB or elite SS --- they are above all laws, processes and logic.
CPS can take your kids at any time, for any reason, for any duration while parents are truly guilty until proven innocent.
Then for the rest of your life CPS will be up your ass and in your life, random home inspections, school lunch checks, clothing reviewed

Foster parent of 5 years in multiple states, the system is broken everywhere. There are some that genuinely try, but they burn out (I have lasted longer than 10 of my case workers). The system is designed so that the only people that can succeed in DCS are those that don't care about the kids, that are calloused, other foster families that grow calloused, and parents that kow tow to the government. Its a miserably rough system that was built (I think) with the intent of helping kids, but as with all government grew so bloated that everyone suffers.

Can confirm. CPS here is also loaded with SJWs and communists. I know a local CPS employee and she shouldn't be anywhere near kids.
No one can take anothers children except in the most direct circumstances. To threaten it so the family lives in fear is equally bad. These ones don't deserve a tar and feather, these ones need true consequences, even if they were "just following orders."
