It’s true. But no one can take it from you and if you e been abused you gain a special function. I can spot a liar from a mile away. I can pick a pedophile out of a crowd at a public park. It is impossible to gaslight other manipulate me. As fucked up as my childhood was I can make the world a better place because of that.
Very true. Scars aren’t necessarily a bad thing and I didn’t mean to convey otherwise. They help you to learn how to not get cut again but sometimes it can seem like almost everyone’s packing a knife and it’s hard to trust again, sadly. Just gotta figure out that perfect mix of tactful vulnerability/self-protection; and buy a gun, just in case.
