I completely disagree with that.
I’m interested in more than just a statement of disagreement. Do you care to elaborate? It may just be that I haven’t conveyed my meaning properly (healing is relative, after all - if there is a scar, is one fully healed?) and I am interested in what you have to say.
Great username by the way 😂
Certainly. Abuse and other trauma absolutely has an influence on your life, but that doesn't mean that you are permanently damaged or diminished in any way. Ultimately you have control over your life and you decide if you remain a victim or you rise above it and live your life. If you choose not to heal then you will definitely never heal. In my case, it made me stronger and wiser and gave me an appreciation for life and a self sufficiency that I likely would not have had otherwise. My shitty childhood better prepared me for adulthood.
Remember, scar tissue is tougher then the tissue it replaced.
I agree. But the scar tissue is still there. What I mean about never healing is that the wound will always be with you in the form of that scar tissue. And you make of it what you will, and there are two ways to go with it. But it’s always there. It can either make you weaker or stronger but it never heals.
