My wife and kids rode their bikes to the local ice cream place. They were enjoying their ice cream before they headed back home. Two other family's were there, all keeping more than 15 feet of distance, as well as people in the drive thru. They were off of the property of the ice cream shop, and on the public property of our local trail system because the ice cream shop has flipped all of their tables making them unusable. All of the family's were approached by a local police officer and told they had to leave. He stated we are still under lockdown and they all had to head home right now and not stop or congregate along the way. An older man in the drive thru jumped out of his truck and began scolding the officer because he was harassing family's who were doing everything correctly.
I was not there with them, but I am heading to the police station after I post this. I will not be wearing a mask. Today is my only day off and I will spend it at their station, or in front of their station marching in the rain.

I did make sure that they documented my visit, especially after they didn't document the veteran that came to complain
Update: I waited almost an hour to talk with the commanding officer, who is not the same commander who was on staff yesterday. He acted apologetic but I could tell I was talking to a brick wall. I did manage to find that no one actually called the police or complained.
The older gentleman who jumped out of his truck was a veteran and immediately after the situation yesterday he went to the police station to speak his mind. I wish I knew who he was so I could buy him 2 scoops, but nothing about him was actually documented.
I also spoke to a friend who is a Lt. Oakland County sheriff. At first he assumed it was another family it happened to, but he was super ultra maga pissed when he found out it was my wife. He works one town over and assured me that this is only a local issue. None of his guys would do this and he would make a few call to his people on Americas behalf.
I went and got the family, we got some Chinese carryout from Ben and his daughter at the local spot. Fuck the Frosty Boy btw, they have flipped their tables and have no gathering signs put up. We went and ate in the easement in front of the police station in the rain with a small sign my daughter made on a stick (it said, constitution before orders). Some people honked, a neighbor stopped and talked with us, then rolled coal out of there. When the kids got cold we went home, that's about all so far.
