I'm looking to do a Cajun trigger upgrade for it in the future along with some better sights or an optic/RMR. I like the trigger it has now though, it's pretty good. The P365 trigger is excellent though.
Me too!: I completely get it. I had a S&W M&P .380 that I sold to my brother and a Glock 17 that I sold to my father. I liked the G17 quite a bit so I'm looking to get a other Glock in a week.. still deciding between a G19, G43, or some sort of a 10mm.
I daily a 365XL and that Grey Guns flat trigger is a game changer.
I like steel and hammers, dabbled in strikers and poly but never was a fan. Got a bit chunky and it was painfully obvious I had a 225 A-1 on my hip haha. Honestly the 365XL is just as good as the 225 which is essentially a Legion pistol.
I also have a few flavors of the 75, including the BD. I have the Cajun EZ-D sights and its a world of difference for my blind ass.
I just built consecutive serial number AR's with Aero Precision lowers and reciprocating side charge uppers, chambered in 7.62x39. Man, talk about giddy fun. The 10.5" just breaths fire with every pull of the trigger haha.
It really is and pretty amazing to actually hit "things". I cannot see worth a dang and all the 3.3 and 3" carry units have the same sight picture. The size is perfect for me.
Easy to conceal and comfortable to carry all day.
You guys see the rare bird Cajun had a few weeks ago? It was like a full side slide on a compact lower. Or the other way around. It was a really rare SKU and he had two of them.
CZ 75BD! Just picked up a 75D PCR and it’s a great size between the full sized and Rami. I’m just learning how to shoot so I’m pure shit, but the gun seemed very accurate and it’s easy to operate. 300 rounds yesterday no issues so I’m a happy camper.
Yes, it’s a forged aluminum frame, and steel on all other parts. You can get the 75D Compact in a full steel version, but it’s pretty heavy for the size. The PCR is still nice and solid, and feels great with the reduced weight.
AZ is great for gun owners. I am thinking of going to Kentucky in the future, it's one of the few states that guarantees the right to bear arms and open carry right in the wording of their state constitution. What area in Chicago did you live in?
After years of looking at different 9mm options, I remembered how much I enjoyed shooting a rental CZ75 SP-01 at an indoor range. I bought it a few months ago. It shoots beautifully and is making my 1911 jealous.
I bought a Ruger ec9s from Bass Pro shop over 2 months ago and I am still not allowed to pick it up.
They have my money, I have jack shit. Early April, I went to pick it up and submitted my background application. It's been over a month, and the fed faggots have simply declined to process my app. It isn't denied, it isn't approved. Its just been neglected and ignored for no reason. Bass Pro Shop refuses to release it to me anyway, even though the Brady Act permits them to do so. Bass Pro Shop and the federal government are violating my 2nd Amendment rights.
I have contacted an attorney and I intend to sue BPS and the FBI to the fullest extent. My next step is to contact politicians to explain my situation and ask them if they care to help make sure this never happens to anyone else again.
3 days was the time limit they used to have, before the seller could choose to release the firearm to the purchaser if they wanted to. When the covid shit started, the alphabet faggots just changed their own rules for themselves, giving themselves 30 days to respond. Coincidentally, your app expires after 30 days, which means you have to make the purchase again and apply again and start another 30-day waiting period all over again, which they could just neglect to act on all over again.
The FBI has used the covid pandemic to quietly cancel the 2nd Amendment and I'm surprised more people aren't pissed off about it. It's treasonous.
That's one of the main reasons I am hesitant to purchase another one right this moment. Who knows how long it'd take, if they'd even release it, especially in Chicago.
Make the purchase, and if they stall past 3 days, start contacting constitutional lawyers like I did. The Constitution needs people like us to fight for it, otherwise it will just be a meaningless piece of paper that fascists laugh at and ignore.
Me too. I'm eyeing either a S&W 686+ or a Glock 19/43.. I emailed my FFL the specs to an AR pistol I was looking at and he refused to do the transfer because he said it's a prohibited class III firearm. Fucking Chicago..
Nah. Get a full size L frame from S&W. I have the S&W 686+ 7 shot and it's not bad at all. You can't conceal carry it, but it's a blast to shoot. Also, the option is always there to shoot .38 when you want to (cheaper also).
I also have a 640 snub nose. Even though it's all steel, I can't shoot .357 with the Barami Hip Grips I have on it right now because there's no checkering on those small, smooth, plastic grips. The stock grips were OK, but you can definitely feel it. I CC .38+p in it, which works for me.
I just looked them up on Bud's and they're around 770, which is within my budget. I don't know much about revolvers so maybe you can help me out since I'm looking to buy a 686 maybe next Friday when I get paid. I see they have different ones with longer and shorter barrels. Are they all in .357? Which would you recommend? It would mainly be a range gun since I usually carry the Sig or my CZ. Is it concealable enough to carry or do you use it just as a home/range gun?
Revolvers come in all different size cartridges. You can even get them in autoloader cartridges like 9mm, but those are rare. The most common are, in order, .357/.38, .38 only .45 long colt, .and 44 magnum and special. .22 are probably the most common, if I can take a guess.
I would suggest a .357 since it can be used with both, .357 and .38 rounds. This makes them, effectively, a duel purpose gun. You can use them for home/self defense and for cheap and fun target shooting.
The 686 is a great gun. Their heavy weight means that you'll run out of money before you get tired shooting .357, and you can always soot .38 out of any .357 revolver. They make them in 6 shot and 7 shot variants. The 7 shot is called the 686+. Taurus and Ruger also make popular .357 revolvers. The trigger in double action is very heavy, but in single action is shockingly light, so be aware the first time you shoot in single action.
The 686 is a medium to large frame revolver. It would not be easy for most people to carry one. They are pretty big. That being said, snub nose, small frame revolvers, like the S&W 640 are very easy to carry, even in all steel. These guns only hold 5 rounds of .357/.38. Ruger sells a .327 magnum revolver that can carry 6 rounds of .327 magnum in a small frame gun designed for CC. I don't believe any other manufacturers offer that caliber, so ammo might be hard to find and is probably expensive. You can also find very lightweight revolvers (less than 13oz) for concealed carry, but I believe all of those are chambered in .38 only.
Here's my reason for carrying a revolver. It all comes down to simplicity. I have never been in a combat situation, so I don't know how I will react. i figure the simpler I can make it for myself, the better chance I'll have. There is no safety on a revolver. The safety is in a much heavier than normal trigger pull. There is no limp wristing to worry about. There is no misfire drill to be concerned with. You simply pull the trigger and you don't have to think about anything else. If it doesn't fire, pull the trigger again.
So I've decided I'll go ahead and get the 686+, but I've gotta compare them and figure out what length barrel to go with. The 5 inch seems to be ideal, but the 4 inch looks great too.
Has a decent little kick to it. I would like it if the grip was a little better, but on the other hand, pretty accurate little gun. Such a treat to shoot IMO
But it's an experience to use the 1911. Similar grip, not as accurate, but so much fun, even if the mag is tiny. If I hadn't adjusted the grip of mine, I wouldnt enjoy it nearly as much. Does hit the hand a bit hard though and can start to hurt after a few mags.
Is it wrong I want to install a flat trigger on your 365 and do a complete CGW upgrade on your 75? I just can’t help myself. 😂
I'm looking to do a Cajun trigger upgrade for it in the future along with some better sights or an optic/RMR. I like the trigger it has now though, it's pretty good. The P365 trigger is excellent though.
They are all nice weapons stock . I have all 3. I just can’t help myself when it comes to upgrades.. gunlexia I guess 😂. Enjoy !

The P365XL looks to be the perfect size.

I would never swap anything from stock on a carry gun.... But the cgw treatment on the cz - hell yes
You guys see the rare bird Cajun had a few weeks ago? It was like a full side slide on a compact lower. Or the other way around. It was a really rare SKU and he had two of them.
How in the hell do you type with those?
You reduce your key switch's press life considerably but it only takes a few mags per sentence.
You can save ammo by pistol-whipping the keys
CZ 75BD! Just picked up a 75D PCR and it’s a great size between the full sized and Rami. I’m just learning how to shoot so I’m pure shit, but the gun seemed very accurate and it’s easy to operate. 300 rounds yesterday no issues so I’m a happy camper.
It's a steel frame as well right? Great choice there, CZs are extremely reliable, easy to clean, and I've never had any malfunction ever.
From what I recall the PCR is "aluminum"
Yes, it’s a forged aluminum frame, and steel on all other parts. You can get the 75D Compact in a full steel version, but it’s pretty heavy for the size. The PCR is still nice and solid, and feels great with the reduced weight.

No kidding? I'm in Chicago as well.

Yeah that's true. I also love the fact that it's steel: it's a very soft shooter. I'm most accurate with the CZ.
I bought a Ruger ec9s from Bass Pro shop over 2 months ago and I am still not allowed to pick it up.

I know! It took about two weeks for them to process my last firearm. It's never taken more than 3 days before.
3 days was the time limit they used to have, before the seller could choose to release the firearm to the purchaser if they wanted to. Where is your keyboard attachment private!?
Glock? M&P? ????
Sig P365, CZ 75BD, Springfield xD.Mod2 .45 are the ones pictured. I had an M&P 2.0 EZ .380 and a Glock 17 that I sold to some family members.
Yeah I knew the ones you pictured. But the title was "essential handguns" :)
Just joking around cause I'm a fan of glocks
Me too. I'm eyeing either a S&W 686+ or a Glock 19/43.. I emailed my FFL the specs to an AR pistol I was looking at and he refused to do the transfer because he said it's a prohibited class III firearm. Fucking Chicago..
Glock 19 is awesome. I'm slightly biased given that it has been my carry gun for like 7 years. Actually, go with the 26. That's my next gun purchase.
Sorry pede, but no handgun edition is complete without a revolver. ;)
I've thought about it. Not sure where I'd start since there's so many out there. Also, a .357 recoil is pretty high from what I hear?
Nah. Get a full size L frame from S&W. I have the S&W 686+ 7 shot and it's not bad at all. You can't conceal carry it, but it's a blast to shoot. Also, the option is always there to shoot .38 when you want to (cheaper also).

I love shooting mine. You should go shoot one if you can.

And a .22. Cheap fun plinking. I have introduced several people to the sport of shooting by way of my Ruger .22.
I guess a .22 revolver might be the best of both worlds? :-)
Where's the Colt 1911?
Pffftttt, 1911's HAHAHAHAHA.. Built for dudes that have never shot a CZ-97' hahahaha
American gun for Americans.
I also just love the John Moses Browning guns
I had a little time with a Hi-Power.. Was a fun shooter
Has a decent little kick to it. I would like it if the grip was a little better, but on the other hand, pretty accurate little gun. Such a treat to shoot IMO

Blasphemer!
My two favorite handguns are my Springfield 1911 and my CZ-75 SP-01. They each have a lot to love.
Still waiting to pick it up from the FFL.. as someone said, it takes forever nowadays with all this COVID bullshit.
Hope you'll post another pic when you get it, I want to see the comparison between the other .45 and the Czech gun
Most definitely!
GRRRIIIIPPP ZOOONNNE!!!!!
