They're authoritarians much like their ChiComs pals, I stopped going to the movies for that reason. They don't care about America or human rights. They only care money. Sad!
It's not even money anymore. Atleast that I could understand. Now they are making flop movies just to star a woman, or a black guy. They think they're influencing people's minds when really they're just pissing people off with shitty movies. Atleast when all they wanted was the most money possible the movies were atleast decent
This is what really made me angry. Saw this post on here a few days ago, I think. "Facebook announced the launch of a bizarre competition called the “Hateful Memes Challenge” ... researchers will compete for a $100,000 prize pool by developing artificial intelligence that can identify “hate speech” in memes."
Then, "This week, Facebook released the list of 20 people who will serve on its Oversight Board and decide what memes and news articles should be removed
for breaking Facebook’s 'Community Guidelines' on hate speech and misinformation." One of the women on the "board" made fun of Barron Trump during the impeachment hearings -- because of his name!
This was AFTER, "Facebook also made headlines earlier this year for taking several days to delete a page that posted illegal child pornography.
Well, seeing as how Disney made their entire business model of using other people's artistic works and claiming them for themselves, they're ones to talk.
"For over a century" isn't "for a limited period" in any but the most pedantic of terms.
Once you realize that copyright enforcement in perpetuity isn't about securing profits from past works but forestalling the inevitability of competing with one's own back catalog, it all starts to make sense. Disney can't churn out trash and get paid if you can watch The Lion King and Pinnochio for free. The only way they can put in zero effort and still make money is if they can keep you from watching actual quality productions.
Make it impossible to legally watch the original Scarface (loosely based on Capone and set in Prohibition) or the critically-acclaimed re-adaptation with the same title, and you can sell a half-assed third revision because it's the only thing available.
the balls on them to charge what they charge per ticket. Last time I was at the theater it was for The Golden Compass because somebody else bought the ticket. For free, it was a pleasant experience.
I remember when you could go to the old-new-movie theaters and pay a few bucks to watch movies all day.
Not to mention, their sordid reputations are out now. We all know what Jenniver Lawrence did to get into any movie shes in. Colin Farrel will only do movies if the romantic lead will sleep with him offset for the duration of the film. Liev Schreiber's tranny kids blow their own scooter handles in public. DeNiro fucks fifteen year old french hookers.
In what deluded reality do they think we'd pay to watch that kind of insane sinnery?
I saw the new Joker movie in a pretty badass local theater that has big ass luxury recliners and lets me drink beer with a giant IMAX variant screen. It ends up being close to $20 just for a ticket so I'll do that maybe once a year for something that seems extraordinarily good, because there's generally only about one movie that fits the bill for me.
Other than that, I've pretty much just stopped watching movies. I prefer TV shows that can build characters, and I just fish episodes of those out of the high seas when I go sailing.
The two hour movie format is starting to die out. I love a good movie, but people are becoming more and more invested in drawn out series that they can invest years with 50+ hours of content into. Once the super hero fad dies out, movies will need to adapt because nothing that's not super hero, Disney, or some other big event property related does well anymore.
When you're used to a deeply developed, nuanced, humanized character and a movie tries to cram all of that into 2 hours with whatever social justice horse shit they're trying to shove down your throat as fast as possible, it makes the stuff unwatchable. Not to mention, so much of the new movies are just the CGI department jerking off. From the mid 90s up through around 2010, it used to be super impressive to see what kind of CGi would come out. Each year, it was something new and incredible. Technological marvels, and the story didn't matter as much.
They got super lazy and started phoning it in on the writing, screen presence, atmosphere, and world building, expecting pretty graphics to carry everything.
What brings all of that to mind is watching the original Total Recall recently, and then trying to watch the reboot. Everything that was fun and entertaining about the first one was just totally abandoned by the shitty gritty reboot. Zero soul to it.
Gee whiz it'd be a shame if even more of us learned to do video editing and flooded social media with more spicy meme videos featuring Pedowood movies and celebrities. Such a shame.
I remember when I was in Intro. to Visual Media (back in the heydays where you could alter images and clips in Photoshop and Premier), my professor kept stressing the fact if you take a picture or a clip from somewhere and alter it in your own vision, it no longer fall into the copyright domain. It's now your production.
However, if you just straight up take a clip or image and leave it as is, then use it in your production, i.e. advertising, it's now a copyright violation.
In other words, FUCK PEDOWOOD! TAKE YOUR COPYRIGHTS UP YOUR ASS AND YOU KNOW YOU LOVE IT!
Too late, we're already nobodies who disseminate our memes all over the dark web without licensing and we dgaf. Have fun being stupid and making twitter and facebook somehow even gayer.
They’re perfect good with getting paid for you to watch their movie but once their customers politics don’t match the creators , the creator thinks they can’t take the away what the art means to YOU. The effen arrogance of these people. Art does not belong to the left, that’s why they can’t meme.
Dear Hollywood ...
Step 1. Look up Free Speech, Fair Use / Transformative Use ..
Step 2. Stop fvcking kids long enough to go fvck yourselves.
Thanks for playing.

Ive watched a few movies during the covid lockdown panic and holy cats does their 'art' fucking suck.
So many duds.
I believe the scientific term is "globohomo"
The meme videos are more entertaining than their movies.
Fuck off, Hollywood.
Those fucks lobby against fair use in every country around the world. Thank God the USA made it law before they could figure out what happened.
Bravo 👏👏
Hollywood hates it!... hurry up! Do it more!!! ...lol
Oh no, not a letter. I hope it's not a sternly written letter.
Herpecin
Like.. With a cloth?
Neatly typed. Oddly worded.
We're done for if the get the know how from Lindsay G.
It might not be sternly written, but it will probably end up being read on the Howard Stern Show.
Weird, I am circulating my own letter mandating free helicopter rides for commies.
I just telepathically signed it. That's a cause I'll get behind
zrrrp zrrrp -that's my drill gun. fully charged. for taking off the doors.
They have no sense of humor, so can not stand being laughed at. Or just laughter in general.
And what makes them think we need to use all those chinese products listed there to make memes? Lol
3 second web search ..

Well, seeing as how Disney made their entire business model of using other people's artistic works and claiming them for themselves, they're ones to talk.
Disney has been churning out vomit with voice over for far too long. It shouldn't even be granted a copyright under the Constitution's reasoning:
Under the "To promote the Progress of Science and useful Arts"
It's not Art and it's not useful.
"For over a century" isn't "for a limited period" in any but the most pedantic of terms.

Fair use bitches, suck it.
Pound sand Hollyweird...stop fucking kids
Scooplet is such a faggy word.
Great - that means they can’t make moves based on any existing premise or idea - history, comic books, music, literature, sports. etc...
LOL, hail the weirdo underclass, they never cease to amaze
Best Twitter response
"Not the first thing Hollywood studio heads have “passed around” in secret"
Fair use doesn't matter anymore?
nothing matters anymore to them except clawing their power back.
I would love to see the president post a series of Disney memes in response.
This will end well for them.😂😂😂
Theaters are done.
the balls on them to charge what they charge per ticket. Last time I was at the theater it was for The Golden Compass because somebody else bought the ticket. For free, it was a pleasant experience.

Weird seeing as how Colin Farrell could probably get a ton of extras or women to sleep with him for free, no contracts needed.
I was thinking about the sticky floors, jizzed seats, and bacteria laden snacks.....but if you want to go to the Hollywood Pedo stuff, that's cool.
I miss dollar theaters....about 90% of the movies I saw in the 1980’s were at them (about 20-30 a year). Now they are lucky if I see one in a theater.
I saw the new Joker movie in a pretty badass local theater that has big ass luxury recliners and lets me drink beer with a giant IMAX variant screen. It's way bigger than just "Trump" now. If they steal this election, it's the end of the "free world" as we know it.
Free country asshoes
Is it okay to say fuck Hollywood?
Hmmm Master of all MOABS vs. Box-office bombers who gets the green light?
Dear Hollywood....
Fuck off.
Sincerely, Merica
Bwahaha such babies
That's kind of like when The Pretenders told Rush Limbaugh that they didn't want him using their music for his bumpers? How'd that work out for th?
No way. They drew first blood!
Let them do this. Trump will finally end the bullshit that is the DMCA abuse of fair use
Man, there is a TORRENT of rain coming down right now. Good time to watch a movie, especially if you're stuck on a boat in the high seas.
PANIC.
Hollywood doesn't realize Americans really don't like them, we just like the characters they pretend to be.
They’re perfect good with getting paid for you to watch their movie but once their customers politics don’t match the creators , the creator thinks they can’t take the away what the art means to YOU. The effen arrogance of these people. Art does not belong to the left, that’s why they can’t meme.
Lol fair use.
Aren't memes fair use? I'd love to see them try and sue the Prez in court.
Use Netflix original clips for extra salt.
I wouldn't "lol". It already happened in Europe.
