GEOTUS needs to bring Musk in closer. Now's the time. Can't always agree, but Musk is at least a true American who doesn't believe Orange Man Bad.

People can change their minds fren. Not all of us were on the Trump train when it left the station.

89
mintyfresh 89 points ago +94 / -5

That's why it's so easy to spot a Karen of either gender. They think you are what you are forever and they hate it if you're not like them.

tombombadil 34 points ago +36 / -2

There are tons of left leaning people that are on our side because they can think for themselves: Scott Adams, Tim Pool, Dave Rubin, Victor Davis Hanson.

12
Rosewolf2 12 points ago +16 / -4

Tim Pool is a fence center because it makes him the most money he just happens to know the majority of his donations come from the right so he slightly leans right.

wake the fuck up.

15
FreeBased1 15 points ago +15 / -0

^ This applies to nearly EVERY journalist, commentator, news figure.

Many people don't get it. They think "FOX" is on our side. Or loony lefties think MSNPC is on their side. No, no they just say whatever keeps you watching and clicking.

Too many people don't think for themselves anymore. Sad!

5
BaldyGull 5 points ago +5 / -0

I don't want to listen to someone because I agree with them. I listen if what they say has value.

3
hai_Priesty 3 points ago +4 / -1

On one hand he's probably one big fence sitter.

On the other hand, what's really that wrong for him to sit on a fence when one big criteria on being a profession journalist is to literally be impartial? I mean, if you DEMAND some other person to sacrifice his earning powers to double, triple down his "beliefs" that's not too far away from the failures of "Get woke go broke".

That's exactly what people say is wrong about "if you aren't with us you're against us mentality", one shouldn't demand "worshipers only".

2
tombombadil 2 points ago +2 / -0

Oh sorry. I don’t even watch the guy to be honest. I’ll start watching him when he takes off that stupid fucking hat and shaves his neck beard.

9
IAmNotSuicidal 9 points ago +9 / -0

I'm kind of 50/50 with him. I think it's fine, not like he is running for office (yet). He is good at his business and I would want him in my state. The neurolink thing kind of worries me if fully realized.

Nowadays got to worry about the Bernie Sanders types who pretend to be against the establishment so I do understand why a lot of people are overly cautious here.

6
KRosen333 6 points ago +8 / -2

If people can think for themselves why does it matter if people claim shill?

7
Trump2020MAGA 7 points ago +9 / -2

Because most of the people claiming that are literally saying not to talk about that person here. It's ok to think someone isn't MAGA. Not ok to try to force that down everyone's throat.

6
motrhed3 6 points ago +6 / -0

SHILL ALERT!!! ....oh wait...

1
UpTrump 1 point ago +5 / -4

That is one thing about this site (and reddit) that I don't like.

23
anon1011101 23 points ago +24 / -1

I voted for obama in 2008 because I thought maybe we would finally just "end racism" by electing the black guy. My how that backfired.

10
zigmund_fraud 10 points ago +10 / -0

I find this post funnier than I should. Made me lol.

3
Rockmanneo 3 points ago +3 / -0

If 0bama just did his one job, there wouldn't be BLM.

12
tombombadil 12 points ago +12 / -0

ā€˜08 Obama was the only Democrat my parents ever voted for in their 40+ years of voting. When you combine how unappealing McCain was, with how good Obama and his media sycophants were able to make him look, plus the whole ā€œopportunity to make history by electing the first African Americanā€, Obama seemed like the easy choice.

10
RedPillMissionary 10 points ago +10 / -0

Honestly I sorta wish I wasn't redpilled. Being red is nice, but the Dems are going to take power forever soon. Being on the winning side for the rest of my life would be nice, even if the policies are literally retarded. I don't know how I'll be able to stand year after year of dem president

6
Rockmanneo 6 points ago +6 / -0

You're blackpilled my friend. Lay off red pills for a bit, you're overdosed.

3
UpTrump 3 points ago +3 / -0

Yep

40
neurojerk 40 points ago +40 / -0

I voted for Obama and Clinton. We need to redpill as many people as possible. Reagan was a Democrat at one point. So was Rupert Murdoch. So was David Horowitz. So was Thomas Sowell. If we crucified everyone who once upon a time voted for Democrats, we wouldn't have very many thought leaders left.

You don't know your own argument until you know your opponent's. People who've been redpilled are invaluable in their ability to show where the secret paths are out of the leftist woods.

Its easy to see in retrospect that they had that election sewn up one way or the other.

In my mind, it's completely irrelevant who you voted for before GEOTUS, we were so screwed before he showed up its a miracle we lasted long enough to see him get elected. Thank God for this timeline.

2
anon1011101 2 points ago +3 / -1

It was a sham election

2
DittoHead 2 points ago +4 / -2

Even though Obama talked about ā€œspreading the wealthā€ and ā€œfundamentally transforming America?ā€ And that Church he and his wife went to, where the Rev. Right said ā€œGD Americaā€.

08 was my first election, and I’m proud to say I wasn’t fooled.

McCain was a saint at the time comparatively.

2
KuhlooKuhlay 2 points ago +2 / -0

You're not wrong but I couldn't bring myself to vote for McCain. I decided around 2004 (the original "Giant Douche v. Turd Sandwich" election) that I wasn't going to vote "against" anybody (for Prez at least) and that the person should have to earn my vote one way or another.

McCain had ample opportunity to do that and he failed. Ditto Willard.

3
DittoHead 3 points ago +3 / -0

I voted McCain Because he was on the R ticket. But I hear you on the proverbial giant douche v. Turd sandwich

9
NvJohansson 9 points ago +10 / -1

Being too young for the Reagan years, Trump was the 1st time l ever voted for a major party. I always voted libertarian. Even though I have never won an election before, with hindsight I'm glad I never voted for a McCain Romney Bush Obama Clinton etc uniparty establishment trash.

He's very public about the fact that he's a socialist. People here just want to ignore that because they like some of the things he's said recently.

It's just as silly as the people pretending that we should import 1 million foreigners per year because 10% of them don't vote to destroy our country, and say "muh based legals" all the time, while 90% DO vote to destroy our country.

8
QuantumRemedy 8 points ago +8 / -0

Can you post some sauce to back this up? He railed against the stimulus check and specifically called out UBI on Joe Rogan earlier this week.

2
americathegr888 2 points ago +2 / -0

The source is his twitter where he said, verbatim, "I am a socialist". Search "Elon Musk socialist" and stories about it with links to the tweet in question are the first links.

And no, he wasn't being ironic, either (which he made clear in comment replies).

5
QuantumRemedy 5 points ago +5 / -0

14

you misunderstand the deranged mind. They drive electric car not because they like it but for the virtue signaling potential.

6
tombombadil 6 points ago +6 / -0

I know plenty of conservatives that drive them because they like it. They know it’s essentially a coal powered car. They don’t care. They just like like the ingenuity and the gas savings. If I had enough money to own and maintain several cars, a Tesla would definitely be something I would consider for getting around town.

5
KekistanPM 5 points ago +5 / -0

And ask them from where the charging stations get their power from...they'll never admit to coal or nuclear as it would make them look bad; so they'll either say renewable sources, or just give you a pikachu face then call you a nazi.

3
PensivePatriot 3 points ago +3 / -0

You're nuts.

Teslas are empirically better cars, and for reasons that have absolutely nothing to do with environmentalism.

Get behind the wheel of one (call your local showroom for a test drive; if you're smooth, you could even get them to loan one to you for a week to "see how a Tesla fits in to your life") and you will see.

They're egregiously fast, and autopilot literally changes your driving life forever.

Nope, he's never supported Trump and he's always been pro-socialism

"By the way, I am actually a socialist. Just not the kind that shifts resources from most productive to least productive, pretending to do good, while actually causing harm."

"True socialism seeks greatest good for all."

He's definitely not pro-Trump:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elon_Musk

Before the election of Donald Trump as President of the United States, Musk criticized candidate Trump by saying: "I feel a bit stronger that he is probably not the right guy. He doesn't seem to have the sort of character that reflects well on the United States."[276] Following Donald Trump's inauguration, Musk expressed approval of Trump's choice of Rex Tillerson as Secretary of State and accepted an invitation to participate in two councils advising President Trump.[277][278] Regarding his cooperation with Trump, Musk has subsequently commented: "The more voices of reason that the President hears, the better."[279] He subsequently resigned from both business advisory councils in June 2017, in protest at Trump's decision to withdraw the United States from the Paris Agreement on climate change, stating: "Climate change is real. Leaving Paris is not good for America or the world".[280][281] In May 2020, amidst Musk's restarting of Tesla assembly plant production during the COVID-19 pandemic, Trump tweeted in support of Musk, which Musk welcomed and publicly thanked him for on Twitter.[282][283]

In August 2019, Musk came out on Twitter in support of the 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Andrew Yang, whose platform revolves around the ongoing problem of job displacement through technological automation and artificial intelligence. Musk said in a tweet that universal basic income, which Yang supports, is "obviously needed."[284]

2
ivan_iii_of_russia 2 points ago +3 / -1

I think the socialist comment is being taken too literally. The comment isn’t supposed to mean that he likes Karl Marx or something. He’s saying that he, as a capitalist, is benefiting the world, thus qualifying as a sort-of ā€œgoodā€ socialist who is doing good for society.

If anything, his comment is a silent roast of traditional socialism because it moves resources ā€œfrom most productive to least productive.ā€ He’s attacking the notion that only traditional socialists care about general welfare.

My point being is that it doesn't matter whether that rose was meant to be a reference to socialism. No one read it as such. All the lefty media just trained their crosshairs on him for that tweet. He will get so much shit from the them now, he will be pushed to the right soon by their hatred, even if he wasn't there yet.

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely hope that you are correct and joins the Trump train or becomes conservative leaning, but I still think it's veiled. However, we will see as people are getting goddamn tired of the censorship coming out of the left.

Yes, look at his history. When you do research into his character, it makes way more sense than suddenly his becoming pro-MAGA.

MAGA is not about Trump, but it is the antithesis of socialism.

He’s a fucking socialist. That’s the ā€œpolitical boxā€ he says he’s in.

Thank you, all that this person could do was downvote, mock and use emojis. That's the best argument that they can make. It's like talking to leftists when you use facts.

Has no one on this forum seen or heard of the DSA? The rose is their symbol, they use it constantly in their materials

Wait till he sees what his former friends say to that. His red pill will accelerate

7

It's ambiguous what he is saying, which may be his intention. Everyone is going nuts over this lol. Musk aligns with Trump and conservatives in some ways, and not in other ways. The end

Just saw matrix again for the first time in years, it really was ahead of its time.

Same here. It's a documentary. It has to be.

Trump needs to get a Tesla version of The Beast to drive all over California in.

I love big oil. It employs thousands of my fellow Texans.

If Trump says he is welcome, I trust his decision. So far Trump has not disappointed me with his decisions.

Even the guy making electric cars, the holy grail of the islamoleftists' environment corps, is on the Trump train now.

Hi everyone - can someone tell me who created this video? I know it was on TD before and removed. Thanks! Lots of love to the Pedes here! https://mobile.twitter.com/GOPPollAnalyst/status/1262077700350631937

I wouldn't put too much stock into this as far as the whole movement goes, but the tipping point for California to be more competitive (at least at the top: Gov., Sens.) could soon be on the horizon.

Elon talking shit and encouraging others to wake up is good and it hurts Newsom and the Dems in CA. Especially if he actually leaves that would be a red pill moment for a lot of people for sure and maybe even some in Silicon Valley.

1
OhLollyLollyPop 1 point ago +1 / -0

If he goes to Austin, it isn't different there than tech valley. Dems run the whole place. A scar of blue in the middle of a sea of beautiful red.

KuhlooKuhlay 1 point ago +1 / -0

I dont think he actually will move but if he does it will be as a punitive move to make a point.

He may disagree with us on some things, but he is an American at heart!

When democrats tell people who don't share TDS to fuck off, there'll be someone on the other side waiting with open arms. Another one walks away

This is a tough call for reddit to make now. Do they continue loving Elon or now hate him for siding with their own elected president of the United States?

There is a lot of compatibility between us and Andrew Yang supporters. Andrew Yang supporters are some of the most calm-headed and solution oriented people I've ever had the pleasure to talk to. I'd love to see some come build a coalition with us!

Yeah, Yang was the only Dem candidate that truly seems to love America. I don’t agree with his policies but he’s the kind of guy that you could actually have a respectful debate with.

He also passes the ā€œI’d have a beer with themā€ politician test.
