It's just as silly as the people pretending that we should import 1 million foreigners per year because 10% of them don't vote to destroy our country, and say "muh based legals" all the time, while 90% DO vote to destroy our country.

I know plenty of conservatives that drive them because they like it. They know it’s essentially a coal powered car. They don’t care. They just like like the ingenuity and the gas savings. If I had enough money to own and maintain several cars, a Tesla would definitely be something I would consider for getting around town.
And ask them from where the charging stations get their power from...they'll never admit to coal or nuclear as it would make them look bad; so they'll either say renewable sources, or just give you a pikachu face then call you a nazi.
Teslas are empirically better cars, and for reasons that have absolutely nothing to do with environmentalism.
Get behind the wheel of one (call your local showroom for a test drive; if you're smooth, you could even get them to loan one to you for a week to "see how a Tesla fits in to your life") and you will see.
They're egregiously fast, and autopilot literally changes your driving life forever.
