Haven't watched many of Capaldi's episodes yet. Thought he was alright.
Honestly, I slowly reduced watching Doctor Who after Matt Smith became the 11th Doctor. Then Peter Capaldi came around and I was like ehh, gave one, maybe 2 episodes a spin and didn't like how it was going. Then I stopped completely.
Yes I agree the writing went to shit. I liked watching it when Eccleston was the 9th then Tennant the 10th and I quickly saw where the show was going - downhill :(
12 has kind of a rough start. They made intentionally unlikable at the beginning so he could grow and become a kinder person but him being so cold just turned people off.
But I would give him another shot. The character arc is pretty well done and it’s good to see him find himself.
There are a few more SJW moments in his tenure but I power through those to get what is some amazing acting. The second to last episode of Series 9 is my all time favorite episode and it’s completely carried by Capaldi.
Dude really let himself go since he was Dr Who
Lol didn't realize his name was Matt Smith. David Tennant is my favorite Doctor.
Capaldi I think is the best actor but the writing went to shit

Don’t bother with 13 though.
Tennant for sure of the modern Doctors. But Tom Baker was my first. 😁
Haven't seen the old Doctor Who yet but I'd love to one day, tho!
You may have. He was in The Day of the Doctor? He was the Curator.
