I spent my stimulus check on oil stocks and funds at all-time-low.

Pretty happy this morning.

I went for ETFs but it hasn't really worked out. OIL folded completely and I took around a 1% loss so it wasn't really a big deal (or it was so bad we should shut down the entire country depending on how you look at it). USO did a reverse split and even though I bought at some of the lower prices it's not made me much.

It was my first foray into oil funds anyway and it's highly unlikely I'll lose anything, but certainly hasn't worked out as I hoped. I was expecting if I bought when oil was $20 and oil went to $30 I'd see a 50% gain and I'm not even close to that.

1% loss in this market? Lol I lost close to 45% when China Virus panic happened. Since, reorganizing my portfolio into oil/airline oil refinery I’m up 50% on my initial investment. I had to day trade a couple of times but it’s been a very volatile market. I suggest looking into individual companies. It’s been good for me
