Does not matter party! Do it even if they are a shitlib becuase this bill is bipartisan and only FDA thugs are against it: https://www.house.gov/representatives/find-your-representative https://www.senate.gov/senators/index.htm

Copy and paste the below edit to your liking!:

I am emailing to encourage your support of H.R.2859 - PRIME Act which allows farmers to sell meat locally instead of wasting it and creating an artificial meat shortage. If there is a meat shortage I will blame Congress for failing to act in supporting Congressman's Massie's common sense, bipartisan bill in light of Covid `19. Thank you.

We really need senators (5 cosponsors vs 43 in the house.) to cosponsors so be sure to hit both of your senators with this message!

I read the summary. It really appears to be benign. Who is lobbying against it? I always "follow the money", How does it differ from the current process?

FDA and the big packing companies that don't care about if there is a meat shortage. Under the current system, all meat sold in grocery stores has to go through FDA approved processing plants. It's why farmers are killing their animals instead of selling them locally. This bill will fix this problem.

Gotcha. I did some more research. We need to de-centralize these over-reaching Federal requirements. Will write my Senators and ask for their support. I notice that this bill has be4en on the table under various numbers for some time.

Meh, I'll skip the PRIME act and wait for the USDA CHOICE Act.

Not sure about that one but PRIME Act is a real improvement that is needed right now and could pass. Please write your people to get behind this.
