Great comment. Totally agree. The part that worries me the most is the inherent financial risk you take on getting another woman these days.. I have kids to think about and don't want to risk having my finances devastated by a woman that is not even related to them. I'm a female and this is me regarding men. I've had too many men try to rob me of my identity and change/remold me, and want me to cater to their needs over my own, and everything was conditional. I just can't do it any more. My brother is ten years younger than me and is the exact same way too (he almost got married, but finally realized his hot girlfriend was a truly ugly person to the core and dumped her ass). My two sisters married just to not be alone, and their marriages aren't that great.

It’s important work but they are NOT angels nor is it a lifetime career. The burnout and fatigue takes a huge toll on their bodies and emotional stability.
We need nurses, but have a plan to get out bc it is not a sustainable life plan nor a sustainable way to live happily. Do your “tour” and have a plan to bounce out bc you won’t be happy long term. A lot of those women were miserable with heavy alcohol issues and food binges.

Some folks were sleeping in the library "reading rooms" - many students were pre-med so this was extremely important to them. Anything less than an A could spell disaster for many of the students.
Some student got up, started singing. Another joined in. Then the other arts students joined the clusterfuck that was this flash mob. Next thing you know, you hear,
SHUT THE FUCK UP, SOME PEOPLE HERE HAVE REAL EXAMS TO STUDY FOR SO THEY CAN GET REAL DEGREES! HOLY FUCK!!!!
That, as well as the time that some arts student (and his media tube) were mistaken for a school shooter, were two events I will never forget.

Walked back to my bed, Nursing Supervisor comes in, when I tell her I need the IV Line replaced, She says, "You mean like this?" and yanks the line out, blood everywhere. I say, "Yep just like that, Now, do you know my wife works downstairs in Medical Records? You're finished." She walked out. I'm holding my hand over the artery till the other supervisor comes in and takes care of it. I get hold of my Dr, tell him to get me released, never back in another hospital,,,ever, except to visit my wife. So tell me how great nurses are, I volunteered in 2 hospitals, stories I could tell would turn your stomach. Some great nurses and doctors, some real pieces of work.

Meanwhile, the Black Gentleman in the Bed next to me received 3 sponge baths while he was unconscious. Now be advised, his Johnson had to be at least 12 inches long, because they spent considerable time working on it. Must have been plugged up I guess. Finally, I Lowered the rails (I have Seizures and I'm a fall risk,) walked down to the nurses station and raised a little hell. Walked back to my bed, Nursing Supervisor comes in, when I tell her I need the IV Line replaced, She says, "You mean like this?" and yanks the line out, blood everywhere. I say, "Yep just like that, Now, do you know my wife works downstairs in Medical Records? You're finished." She walked out. I'm holding my hand over the artery till the other supervisor comes in and takes care of it. I get hold of my Dr, tell him to get me released, never back in another hospital,,,ever, except to visit my wife. So tell me how great nurses are, I volunteered in 2 hospitals, stories I could tell would turn your stomach. Some great nurses and doctors, some real pieces of work.

We were very cognizant of our professional image - and were careful not to get caught. We’d call out “knock it off” if a patient arrived, and it was back to business.
