This article is awful. It says HCQ should only be given to covid patients in the hospital which is the exact wrong way to give it. It should be given to patients early on at the start of symptoms Once you need a ventilator it’s almost always too late.

Yep.

It looks like ventilation isn't working because it may be thrombosis-induced hypoxia that's killing people. Either the virus attacks the endothelium or the oxidative stress precipitated by the inhibition of ACE2 triggers a coagulation cascade that then causes thrombi to form.

Waiting until that point means you're either going to lose patients because of lung damage, heart damage, from stroke, or from the effects of limited O2 sat. HCQ needs to be used early or prophylactically.
