What? I thought California produced the most money and gave it all to flyover red state losers? I've been duped. They have no money.

Erikabodereka 188 points ago +189 / -1

So much for the world's 5th largest econmy line, I guess.

83
TD_Covfefe_Crusader 83 points ago +84 / -1

They have a large economy, but the Democrats have squandered it all and used the proceeds to buy off the unions, thereby creating unfunded pension and other liabilities that will eventually bankrupt the state regardless of how much money the Feds give them.

Not necessary. California can pay illegals (in cash) to do the jobs they can't afford to pay Americans to do. Instead of "We clean your toilets", the new chant can be "We surgery your brain".

12
thisguy883 12 points ago +12 / -0

Well you have so many people retiring from California where the salary is insane due to housing, and their pension is a percentage of that salary, if not all, because of Union contracts.

Then these people move to red states where the cost of living is low. They make out like bandits off their retirement and then go out and vote blue.

I know maybe 2 people who are from California that now live here in Texas that vote red. The other people i know from that god awful state are democrats to the core.

8
TD_Covfefe_Crusader 8 points ago +8 / -0

Same story here in Oregon. I live in a popular retirement destination and most of the people here are from California. Unfortunately the California Democrats outnumber the California Republicans, but we do have some great patriots here from California.

ilovehishaircut 21 points ago +22 / -1

How about this idea: blue states that go bankrupt go into receivership to be governed by other states that know how to take care of business. If California goes bankrupt, Texas takes over until they are in the black. If Oregon goes under, Idaho shows them the way, Washington--Montana, etc. Maybe combine some of the little eastern states and restructure. We have to start thinking about the long-term about these problems. How are we going to turn this thing around in the next 100 years? Everything is in a panic about what to do in the next five minutes. So short-sighted. The only answer from Washington is to spend money from the federal government. Basically, borrowing from future generations. How about we build something to pass onto our kids instead of just selling them out all the time?

4
DJTrump 4 points ago +4 / -0

Demonrats have the attitude that the kids should feel lucky just for being alive, because if they had their way they'd all be dead at the earliest possible convenience. What the economic landscape they'll enter is something they couldn't care less about. Far too many people have almost no clue how incredibly evil these people are.

They don't even give it to us loser blue states. Instead, they send their burnouts to us (no, really, you should have seen how many people moved from California to Oregon on the daily. Even leftie Oregonians were ready to help build a damned mini-wall along their own southern border.)

PepesCovfefe 44 points ago +46 / -2

God they have ruined this state. I hate Californians so much I just stopped talking to the people I was friends with from there. They’re way too far gone at this point to have any sort of meaningful relationship with them. It’s nothing less than an extremely radical cult. I think Hare Krishna are less radical than Californians at this point.

TD_Covfefe_Crusader 18 points ago +19 / -1

I'm old enough to remember them chanting and banging on tambourines in airports and other public places, proselytizing and trying to get you to take their pamphlets. They were quite aggressive and obnoxious about it. They were banging drums in people's faces long before Nathan Phillips came along. In California in the 1970s you couldn't walk through an airport without encountering them.

I even knew a guy who was a former Hare Krishna. He was a fucking nutter.

23
aztecpontiac 23 points ago +25 / -2

There are, but we're all to scared for our jobs and our businesses to be public about it. I have customers, themselves successful business owners, who are quite literal Marxists, and gladly flaunt this unforgivable ideology in public on Instagram, Twitter, their business websites, etc. Of course nobody ever gets outraged by a business owner coming out as a Marxist, even though their ideology is murderous and deadly, yet if a business owner is discovered to be a conservative, he ends up on the news as a racist bigot and gets fired by the board of directors.

6
ClownTamer 6 points ago +7 / -1

Are you in the Bay too?

3
MarcusAurelius 3 points ago +4 / -1

I always wonder how many of these people are "True Believers" (TM), and how many of them are parroting the lines so some ANTIFA doesn't toss a brick into their window?

-2
ColbyP -2 points ago +1 / -3

That doesn't even make sense. You can't be a business owner and a marxist. The two are incompatible. Either one owns the business and is therefore exploiting the workers, or the workers own the means of production after they've left the previous owner's disemboweled corpse on the factory floor.

21
ClownTamer 21 points ago +23 / -2

I’m a Californian in the same boat as the other commenter, only I’m in the Bay Area. Half the people I know and work with are ardent and open communists by their own decree. I don’t mean socialists, although I know plenty of them too. Actual self proclaimed communists. They’re always either studies majors $300k in debt for a Wikipedia degree, or impossibly rich types that don’t care what the peasants do anyway and just want to look fashionable by having a fashionable ideology behind them. They think communism means things like student loan relief. They’ll get their masters in things like ‘Sexuality’, and hold jobs that produce nothing of value, usually money laundering nonprofit type jobs that mostly consist of asking people for money for causes they do not at all help.

I’ve been told on multiple occasions by countless of them that if they found out anyone they know voted for Trump, or supported Trump, or even laughed at one of Trump’s jokes, they’d disown them / fire them / divorce them, and in some instances, attack and kill them. Half the things that come out of their mouth are making fun of people from other states that aren’t NY. Every other state to them is the asscrack of America. They’ll go on about crazy hillbillies, meanwhile we’re here in the Bay and LA covered in drugged out hobos looting and shooting each other. “It’s so tragic, they just need some money and they’ll be right as rain.” They love anything French because most French things now suck and pretending to enjoy them makes them seem more cultured. They all brag about their passports and if you haven’t taken the same stock photos of yourself in front of world landmarks after staying there for $3000 over a weekend, you’re uncultured trash. They’ll laugh at anyone that can’t pin down the exact location of obscure European cities on a map, all the while not being able to place most of the states of the United States on a map, let alone cities.

I’m independent. I’m not a Republican because I don’t like either party, but I’m definitely more conservative than liberal because I find it hard to believe bullshit. I honestly can’t see myself voting liberal again in my entire life after all this shit over the past decade or more. All the hyper liberal people I know here in the Bay are absolutely vile at worst, and at best, vapid idiots supporting horrible things for HS cliquish points. I know other conservative folks, and usually when we find out the other isn’t crazy, it’s like you have a friend for life. Always the nicest people, with a backdrop of supposedly bleeding heart liberal types running around talking about lynching Trump supporters because CNN told them Orange Man Bad.

They’re always huge news addicts. They’ll believe anything on CNN. “Trump said the virus is a hoax!!! Haha DRUMPF.” “No he didn’t, he said the left and media are weaponizing it into a political hoax for election purposes. He was actually the first person to seemingly do anything against the virus by locking down the borders.” “He still said the word hoax!!! It’s the same thing!!!” That’s an actual conversation I had one time. They’ve even said that if they found out I or anyone voted for Trump, they’d fire me for a job. They have also said, like many, that they think CA and NY should just rule America because everyone else is trash. Keep in mind these people are obese silver spoon types. Put them in a cowboy hat and you’d think they were hobo hillbillies.

6
muckraker10 6 points ago +6 / -0

I worked in San Francisco about 10 years ago and then it was bad with the liberalism but not nearly as in your face, now it's absolutely crazy, the team I work with is mostly based there (but I work remotely) and every day someone has some new crazy thing to say about Trump, etc. 10 years ago people rarely seemed to talk politics that I worked with.

6

Probably because of financial reasons. Most could be tied up in investments or family property.

I know a guy who's parents still live in California because his grandparents own a nice piece of land. My friend's father said once he can sell the place, he is moving out and coming to Texas to be with his son.

Feel the same way about Canada. I was a proud Canadian for most of my life, but now I can't help but feel ashamed for what Canada stands for.

11
ClownTamer 11 points ago +12 / -1

I’ve had funny conversations about that as someone in CA. This one was with a young kid of a hyper liberal indoctrinated family I worked for:

“All other countries are better than the US!!!”

“Name one.”

“Canada!!!”

“Why is Canada better than the US?”

“Because they don’t allow guns!!!”

“Canada is better than the US because they don’t let people have guns?”

“YEAH! I’m TOTALLY moving to Canada, I fucking HATE the US.”

He was really, really young. Known him for years now and saw him grow up. I said very little, but nudged him here and there to at least think about things. Told him Trump would win the day of the election, or at the very least it’d be really close, but he’s most likely going to win. He laughed at me because ‘the polls’ showed he had a 1% chance. His whole family and town cried that night because Trump won. He thought I was a prophet from there and was red pilled from there on out. I didn’t even tell him I like Trump or to vote for Trump, I just told him the media’s lying, and gave him some easily accessible examples, along with teaching him to think critically. I’ve never met someone that learned that sort of thing that didn’t end up more conservative.

He used to say that his parents would fire me if I ended up being a Trump person, and that he would shoot me—after having been for gun control. His parents also basically raised him to be a girl, you can tell they wanted a daughter. One of the only reasons I kept working with them through all that is because I didn’t want their poor son to end up some gender swapped mess. I still haven’t said I voted for Trump or anything to him, or anything like that. When he’d bring up crazy shit Trump supposedly said, all I’d say was “he didn’t say that. Don’t you think it’d be kinda crazy for someone to say that when they’re running for president? Why would anybody support him if that’s what he said? You can go watch the video of what he actually said you know. Make up your own mind.”

I used to live in Oregon. Gonna disagree on this. The meme is that Californians "turned Oregon blue" but unfortunately a bunch of Oregon's idiots are home grown and maybe even more extreme than the Californians. California liberals might not know what gender xhe is, but Oregon you got people trying to burn down SUV dealerships because of carbon or something

4
MuadDon 4 points ago +4 / -0

Same thing in Texas. Everyone who isn't from there thinks it's wild west with horses but it's only that way in the rural districts with limited and/or small niche economies. Every major Texan city (the major population centers) is blue and becomes more liberal by the day. It's home grown.

2
hypebeast420 2 points ago +2 / -0

Yep. https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign-polls/415932-exit-poll-more-native-texans-voted-for-orourke-than-cruz

I don't think the "blue staters fleeing blue states but voting for blue policies" meme is true and it's just something the left says to keep us playing defense instead of offense. Looks like the data in the cases of Texas is Californians coming here are MORE conservative, and maybe leaving California for exactly that reason. "Blue states" aren't 100% hard left. There are conservatives in California still, some of which who have been leaving.

preferredfault 14 points ago +17 / -3

Places like California and NY's numbers are largely bloated. Their wealth, besides their population sizes, are mostly based on imports that come through their ports that they take a cut of, and company headquarters being based there (even when the vast majority of that companies wealth might not actually be generated there).

And NY pays 250 billion in federal taxes a year, but gets 225 billion back. That's only 25 billion of the federal budget, out of 3 trillion. On top of that, you have to look at buying power. More money doesn't mean more wealth, because the cost of living there is vastly higher. So it's all fluff and twisted lies when you really get down to it.

So what they essentially do is siphon from other states, both figuratively and literally, then attribute it all to only themselves. And we can look at it in other ways too, like raw resources. From food to water, it comes from out of state. A lot of California's water is funneled in from surrounding states. Virtually all of the food they eat comes from outside of their states. Without other states farmers and rivers and mines, they would be in big trouble. Their lifestyles and cities would be unsustainable and broke. They are leeches and liars.

9
hypebeast420 9 points ago +9 / -0

It's extreme Pareto law. You have some ultra-productive people in California like the execs at tech companies, and then you have a lot of leeches. There basically is no middle class anymore in San Francisco.

6
ColbyP 6 points ago +6 / -0

Buying power is a big one. Californians think they're rich because they get paid so much more, but it blows their mind when I tell them I have a bigger house than them with an acre of land to boot, for 1/10th the price they're paying for their tiny home in the city. More money doesn't mean shit when the prices are jacked up 10x.

3
muckraker10 3 points ago +3 / -0

There's more water than could ever be used in California, the Sierra Nevadas have insane amounts of snow, they just let a lot of it run into the ocean for "environmental" reasons and don't build more dams. Also California is very self sufficient in terms of food production (or at least could be). It is 100% liberal mismanagement not a lack of resources.

9
ShitOfPeace 9 points ago +9 / -0

Those numbers were a percentage of funds from the federal government as a percentage of the state budget. So the fact that they have a huge state budget made it seem like they were paying for everyone else. It was just a lie.

6
2
Cheesemaker 2 points ago +3 / -1

Thank you for that.

I'm curious, what is USA today doing with their numbers to skew it completely differently? They are reporting red states take in, on a per capita basis, much more than blue states. Is it due to inclusion of things like social security (which isn't a fair measure when looking at spending)? Or something else? Would like to understand why these two lists are completely opposite of one another.

3k isn't that bad actually. I live in a small city in WA and pay $2.1k for a two bedroom apartment.

44

I pay $850 for a mortgage for a 1700sqft house. Renting seems crazy to me.

21
stratocaster_patriot 21 points ago +22 / -1

You won't find that here in the Puget Sound. It's not really about renting vs owning. It's about ridiculously inflated home prices and insane taxes.

13
HockeyMom4Trump 13 points ago +13 / -0

Yikes. You may want to move. You could buy a pretty great house for that kind of cash.

9
FreedomAintFreeYo 9 points ago +9 / -0

Perhaps now that pretty much every company in the US that is still operating has realized their office work force can work just fine from their homes. People who were stuck in big expensive cities could move to smaller communities where you can buy a 4200 square foot house for $150k. It would revitalize the smaller communities, reduce traffic, and better for the worker.

1
AnuraChilopoda 1 point ago +1 / -0

3

Yeah but there aren't going to be the type of jobs like I have. Believe me I will move eventually but I've had it pretty good career wise here for the most part and I need another 10 years. $2k would get you an OK house here but what I reduce in terms of mortgage payment I lose in taxes, property crime, maintenance etc. I think in 10 years the idea will be to leave the state, or at least the west side of it.

2
HockeyMom4Trump 2 points ago +2 / -0

3k is what his share of the rent is... 4 roommates. And that 'million dollar house' isn't what you're thinking of. Probably a two bedroom, one of them lives in the bedroom, the other in the garage/dining room/shares.

3k ain't bad

realJohnBarron 31 points ago +31 / -0

This was always going to be the cycle. Shut down the state economy and your not getting as much "revenue" from sales tax, income tax, speeding/parking tickets, lotto, etc. Eventually you can't even pay state workers, once state workers are protesting you can't tell anyone to pepper spray the protesters.

Brings up the question of state monopolies on fire, police, emergency services are a good thing or not

21
HockeyMom4Trump 21 points ago +21 / -0

I think they should be laying off government workers...heck, so many people in private businesses have been laid off or forced to stay closed and make no money for over two months. Why are government employees immune? Where do they think their paychecks come from? In MN, teachers and government workers are all still getting paid full salary. Teachers are barely working and will basically have six months off this year. They are the biggest advocates for stay home, stay safe. We’re all in this together! Yet none of these people are taking a pay cut or experiencing a lay off or furlough. This BS will cease once we start furloughing government employees. Notice how when the government shuts down the MSM runs story after story about those families struggling? If a government shutdown last two weeks it is a tragedy. But now private business can be shutdown months? And how dare they finally try to open so they can afford to feed their families. The AG in MN (Muslim Keith Ellison) is threatening a tavern owner with $25,000 fine per day if he dares to reopen. This is the same AG that refuses to do anything about Ilhan Omar’s illegal activities, by the way. Yet he wants to destroy a man for daring to want to open up his business and claims that is illegal. Disgusting.

I'm old enough to remember the good old days of Scott Walker just trying to bust their Unions. Now we have to question if government should even furnish first responders at all?

Constitutional carry it is then. Let's see how long fag special rights remain in vogue.

I hadn't seen any enforcement of lockdowns in terms of people being ticketed when I was last there. The state is similar to a third world country in that the more Urban areas could easily erupt into massive violence with the right spark so the police there seem, at times, hesitant to do anything

Another sick pedo. I saw this with my own eyes and archived it. It was changed a few days after people on the Internet noticed it.

Look at the weird hand in the crowd with a "finger" in the shape of a spiral triangle. This is the symbol for boy pedophilia. These people are sick and evil.

He's being down voted because people think this makes us look insane, or fringe. Meanwhile time and time again not only throughout history but modern times the super elite have been busted raping, sacrificing and consuming the young. It's rampant and they don't want to face reality. Trump knows it, which is why human trafficking is a big ticket item for him.

Randalous83 3 points ago +3 / -0

I don’t disagree that these people are evil and that there is some seriously fucked up shit going on with them.

However, this photo is a bad example. It does look like the pedo triangle symbol, but if you look closely you can see that they are holding something in their hand that is slightly rolled up. You can see where the edge of their index finger extends slightly past the object. Plus, the object is a slightly different color than their hand. Also, the positioning of the hand (based off of the thumb location) would make this impossible to do, especially since as you pointed out the finger would need extra joints.

This is just one of those things that happens when a picture is taken. You get that snapshot of a fraction of a second in time and that’s all you see. Our brains try to justify what we’re seeing but without the context of the preceding and following actions we can’t, so our brain tries to fill in the gaps.

Spez: Fingers don’t type what brain thinks

What drives the powerful and rich left to such acts of depravity?

Of course, much is due to their atheism but why are they drawn to violate children. All people are born with a natural tendency to protect children. How does leftism erase that tendency?

9
solarsavior 9 points ago +13 / -4

It's not about atheism. I am an atheist. Granted, some atheists are bat shit crazy leftists so I would understand why you would believe what you do.

I believe atheism is the neutral position. The problem here apparently is satanism and not atheism. These people are supposedly satanists. It's hard for the mind to go that dark, but alas it appears to be the truth.

4
aKekabove 4 points ago +5 / -1

Children are innocence, and Satan loves to defile it

2
CuomoisaMassMurderer 2 points ago +3 / -1

Excellent answer! As a devout Christian, I agree with you wholeheartedly. I also support people not trying to force themselves to believe something they can't. Just this much would relieve SO much strife in our culture!

I got evidence from God, personally, before I believed. Followers of Jesus are described in the Bible as having that, too. While I don't have answers for why I've gotten that already and you apparently haven't, I simply state it is possible.

1
kyblugrass 1 point ago +1 / -0

You know as weird as this sounds I think you might be right. I don't think its Satanism in the theistic sense but rather Lavey Satanism. Its just a theory of mine, and I've thought about picking up a Satanic bible to see if I could make sense anything, see if it would explain the words and actions of those Elites.

8
Philhelm 8 points ago +9 / -1

It seems that the extremely wealthy are susceptible to degeneracy, and I don't think that this sentiment is just working class resentment. When driving Ferraris and banging models gets boring, you need to up the ante.

This isn't a new concept; for example, there are tons of movies out there where a group of rich dandies with nothing better to do delve into the occult and summon a demon, or whatever variation to that theme the movie may present.

2
Caferrell 2 points ago +2 / -0

check out the behavior of Nero or Caligula...

6
ParticleCannon 6 points ago +6 / -0

The ongoing sabotage of the Family, perhaps?

1
CuomoisaMassMurderer 1 point ago +1 / -0

That's certainly part of our current reality, but it doesn't explain why rich and powerful people want that. Nor why someone turning towards leftism would ditch the natural instinct to protect children, in favor of destroying the nuclear family.

Relevant here is that varied species of animals are known to protect the young of other species, even predator vs prey. Here's a little anecdote: when I was maybe 2 or 3 I stepped on a horseshoe crab, which are named for being able to bite right through a horse's leg, hoof, shoe, whatever. It carried me a ways until I stepped off it. Crabs are not especially intelligent. I think this says something about what happens to intelligence when one embraces leftism.

1
Caferrell 1 point ago +1 / -0

That might not be the goal, but it certainly is a byproduct of the sick liberals diving into sin with their eyes wide open

3
CuomoisaMassMurderer 3 points ago +3 / -0

This is a great question. We could turn it into a chicken and the egg thing: were they rich and powerful first and then became depraved, or did the depravity precede their riches?'

I don't know if leftism actually does this on it's own, if volitional satanism is required, or if there's even any real distinction.

I just know I want nothing to do with any of it.

1776 and vigilantism may need to combine?

3
WilburPudding 3 points ago +3 / -0

I think some rich people who have a predilection for sin become depraved and lose control. And then those people become democrats because it’s the party of depravity. A mafia seeks to control. I doubt the Democrats would just allow a depraved rich person to do their thing. They see that as leverage. So they bring them into their party and hold their sins over their head the entire time.

2

The schools do this with the property taxes here on Long Island, too. "Approve our budget increase or we'll cancel the buses. Then sports. Then anything else fun or convenient for you and your kids, until we find something you care about."

It's never "we'll cancel our guaranteed raises for this year."

"If you don't give us the money, we won't be able to afford sports!" Weird, you were somehow able to afford to all these years, but suddenly you need more money or else it's all over... typical school shit

11
CuomoisaMassMurderer 11 points ago +11 / -0

That's a weak argument. Costs aren't increasing?

The ripest area to trim costs in a school is ALWAYS the administration. They should be paid like secretaries to the teachers. All they do is cause problems, and prevent teachers from teaching. Teachers do the bulk of the work a school is for. Administration should merely help them, outside the classroom.

All those points should become moot once everyone realizes kids don't need to be in school more than they're with their parents. Everyone testing better than average after this school year will prove that, and should have an option. Those testing below average probably are so irresponsible they do need someone watching over them. A major re-structuring is in order!

Even in Texas, I've never see a bond issue for schools that didn't include fixing the leaky roofs. Then the Athletic facility or Administration facility goes over budget and the roofs don't get fixed. The roofs finally get so bad they demand a new School Building or three to replace the damaged building.

When the are letting criminals out all over the place, why should anyone worry about the cops?

22
stratocaster_patriot 22 points ago +22 / -0

And when the place burns to the ground every summer and fall, why worry about fire fighters. We always thought an earthquake would dump CA into the ocean someday. Apparently there will be nothing there when that happens.

10
inquimouse 10 points ago +10 / -0

The fires I care more about because I like the woods. However, that wasn't managed too well either: should have been proactive forest clearing instead of waiting for firefighters to deal with the inevitable result, which everyone knew would happen because it has, over and over.

10
stratocaster_patriot 10 points ago +10 / -0

WA burns to the ground every summer because environmentalists are in charge here. Inslee ran for POTUS on a green platform (saying we were all going to die but that he was the Messiah) and yet forests and fisheries have collapsed on this watch. Our killer whale population is rapidly dying off. Summer of 2018 was so bad that you couldn't even see the sun for about 2 months. It looked about like a street light and we were told to stay home and keep our windows shut. No meaningful action has been taken since then except 1 billion got dumped into the government to fix stuff with no actual plan or path forward. To run for office here you need to simply speak about the need for 'green shit', women and minorities. Anyone who departs from that has no chance of being elected. And this summer the state may burn to the ground again.

4
KnobGoblin 4 points ago +4 / -0

5
Fabius 5 points ago +5 / -0

CALPERS (The california government pension) is completely invested in the market.

The politicians just don't care. This is why everything is funded through debt. When the man comes calling, the politician who incured it is long gone. Same thing for laws that "take effect" 2 years after being passed.

1
StabbingRobotRoberto 1 point ago +1 / -0

Yes, CalPERS is "in" the market, it's just paying out more than it collects from the state employees right now, according to this Reuters article it's about $150 billion underfunded at this point. That means that local cities and governments will have to make this up by paying more to support it. Does anyone make up "shortfalls" in a normal person's 401K so what you get paid never goes down? These politicians are just pandering to these state retirees and putting the burden on the taxpayer that may not ever see any of their own retirement, at this rate.

3

12
Sea_Still [S] 12 points ago +12 / -0

At least there won't be anyone to enforce his illegal social distancing orders

2
CuomoisaMassMurderer 2 points ago +2 / -0

Isn't it silly to say "social" distancing? It's PHYSICAL distance that (theoretically) helps. And while I'm against the bs and especially the panic as much as anyone, one of the few things they actually do have the legal right to do is to impose physical distance to try to prevent the spread of communicable disease.

How long they can continue to impose that is at issue. WI determined that 60 days is the (State) Constitutional maximum. Next issue will be when cases go back up does the Governor get another 60 days of legal tyranny?

Yet what Gruesome Newsom does CLEARLY goes beyond merely imposing physical distance between people. Closing beaches? Parks? Denying sick people medicine? Fuck, even DoJ is going after HCQ now ...

5

2

Hmm, this might sound good on the surface but most States only function via Federal dollars. The system is set up to work this way.

The issue here is to differentiate between States that are merely so fiscally irresponsible as to be considered normal, vs the ludicrous bs CA has been doing. Hopefully this is not too difficult a legal task, but I really have no idea how it will all work.

They've taken over the big cities in Texas.

I couldn't help but notice all the dating profiles that had "CA->TX" or "NY->TX" with a "Liberal" tag on them; and an almost carbon copied description of "Moved here X years ago. So excited! Love it here!" and about half of those had "Trump supporters swipe left."

Seems like they want to take over the dating scene and kick all the pedes out of it too.

2
CuomoisaMassMurderer 2 points ago +2 / -0

Maybe 50 bmg is the solution?

1
barc 1 point ago +1 / -0

So that answer isn't to protect the cops or paramedics in California. The answer is to keep them from spreading their cancer outside of their own borders. The people of California have created the shithole that they now reside in. I don't care if every cop, teacher and/or DMV worker gets fired. I'm not bailing them out.

7
stratocaster_patriot 7 points ago +7 / -0

Because this is the United States. There are some good people there. The people who run it need to be publicly humiliated and banished from the country. Anyone who voted for these people need to be banished as well. Problem is they will just move to your state when the whole thing burns to the ground.

While I agree, the way to do that is to citizen's arrest all the Governors repeating Cuomo's mistake of denying sick people medicine. He had 4.5 million pills of HCQ and only allowed 1,100 New Yorkers to have any. Then over a million panicked and fled, spreading it all over the Country. About 40 Governors have repeated his mistake, even though they were too cowardly to announce that as policy. Once we arrest them via 20,000 at every State Capitol at the same time, we see them stand trial for mass murder and their every other act of tyranny. Class action lawsuits, both criminal and civil, in every State. They die as paupers in prison, either at the end of their life sentence or at the end of a rope; whatever State law calls for. THAT sends a clear message to all future would-be tyrants! And the rest of our enemies retreat back into the shadows. DJT says he caught them all, so he helps us rout them out of their hiding places.

They don't have cops anyway. $949 in theft is legal? Immediately before letting criminals out of jail? I can't imagine how "a good cop" could have possibly stayed this long.

Same in Portland and Seattle. They are told not to enforce laws, well except for social distancing lol.

Here's an even better idea than calling Newsom's bluff.

Arrest Newsom. Newsom is a traitor for favoring criminals over Americans, and his malicious incompetence has ruined California.

I've been saying this for well over a month! But I've extended it to all Governors denying sick people medicine, and expanding the charges outward from there. We could've brought this crisis to a screeching halt as soon as 9 million pills of HCQ were donated to the US, sometime around March 16. Had we done that, the lockdown would've made sense. Instead, about 40 Governors have insisted that sick people suffer and die instead. Citizen's arrest is perfectly legal when we stop a felony in progress. I don't know what the appropriate charges are, but mass murder is good enough for an arrest. 20,000 people at each State Capitol all at the same time is more than enough to insure nobody needs to get hurt.

Class action lawsuits, both criminal and civil, are how we win a lasting victory. Each State needs them, written so anyone affected can sign on. But we can't wait for those to work their way through the Courts, that could take years. We need action well before November. My biggest concerns:

  1. give sick people medicine;

  2. every business is essential. Small business can adapt to change, implement common sense, and stay safe FAR better than big businesses;

  3. free and fair elections. We know the DNC schemes against that, and it will be 3x worse this November than it ever has been before.

Plenty of room to add adjustments for idiots like gruesome Newsom.

Chicago mayor is trying to compete with WI opening up. While I'm all in favor of opening, Chicago is truly a hotspot. Over 70% of all your State cases in one tiny County. Just maybe things should be done a little differently there?

I agree with your general sentiment.

The original thought was that people with lung issues are a risk category. Now we know that is FALSE! If you look at the people hospitalized, it's the same % as the general population with these issues. Meaning it's not causing people to have more severe problems. I've suffered with what's now termed "poorly controlled asthma" all my life, so this is something I make it a point to stay informed on.

That's just one example how we know so little about this.

There is no legal basis to quarantine the healthy. The initial "15 days to slow the spread" may have been hard to argue with, but looking back it's hard to even suggest that it did any good at all. My main point is that the rest of IL away from Chicago is drastically different from Cook County, which is again very different from even surrounding Counties that have some pretty high numbers. So regardless what's decided about that area, the rest of the State was "punished" just like it was Chicago, which is stupid.

Of course the same general phenomenon holds true in every State, but IL is an extreme example. In WI we have about the same % of cases in one area, up from Chicago along Lake MI to Green Bay. So that's a pretty big area, but still tiny compared to the rest of the State. Most Counties in both our States had 0-10 total cases on April 1. Impossible to say those areas shouldn't have opened April 1, and that pertains to a HUGE area of the Country! Totally irresponsible that we didn't open at least that much up then. That would've given really useful data about any second wave, and we'd know how to manage more populated areas really well by now.

Instead we're just guessing. And some people are still scared, panicked, etc. What has Lightfoot changed? Anything opened back up yet?

Yes, WI is freer than IL has been through this hoax. You probably know that when we've been listed as "stay at home" order, it was actually "safer at home." The biggest difference being what enforcement action could be taken.

I seriously doubt she has legal authority to limit Church attendance to 10. I'm not sure of the precedent for maintaining 6' of space; I thought that had precedent in 1918 but I just read an article that says that comes from a teenager's science project in 2006. Anyway the 1918 restrictions ended after 2 weeks, just like we started with. And the biggest rebel was a Catholic Priest.

Hopefully the Church is suing under a class action? Every Church Statewide should be able to sign on. We have at least one Church suing here, and I'm not sure if they've filed it as a class action either.

States with a decent Governor have the problem of deciding which is their most tyrannical Mayor that they should focus on as the defendant in all their lawsuits. I'm not really sure if you should focus all your efforts on your Governor, or if you really need to go after Lightfoot / Fatass both.

They all need to die in prison, as paupers. WI Governor too. Did you know we had about 10,000 at our protest at the State Capitol? That never got reported. Helicopters overhead while we were at peak, too; somebody got GREAT shots! We had a guillotine.

What got reported was "about 1,500, with some disagreeing." Yes, I spoke at length with both people there to disagree.

"We refuse to fire administration staff, cut welfare programs, and immigration services and aid, but fuck those that serve and protect"

It's amazing how in the same breath Newsom is relying on the police to enforce his fascism while threatening to fire them. I say we don't pay and see how that turns out for him.

I thought all the firefighters died in the Battle for Net Neutrality

1
CuomoisaMassMurderer 1 point ago +1 / -0

350 million of them die per day from AR-15s.

Dead_Sennacherib 5 points ago +5 / -0

I live here and I don't want Trump to give us any money. Let our State Gov't collapse under its own weight.

Also, aren't police and fire paid for by local taxes? Except for the CHP and Cal Fire. I could do without 90% of the CHP who seem to just set speed traps rather than actually patrolling. Cal Fire we need, but he's be an idiot to not fund them.

AlohaChris 5 points ago +5 / -0

Maybe they could use the money they have set aside to spend on illegals?

2
CuomoisaMassMurderer 2 points ago +2 / -0

Illegals are more important. Without them, who would create work for cops and firefighters? Somebody has to set fires and commit other crimes

Martel_West 4 points ago +4 / -0

We need to have a separate currency for unruly states like California, so when they pull shit like this we can show them the inflation such a bailout would cause. It doesn't replace the dollar, but works alongside it, and has a different value. Some communities already do this on a small scale to keep the local economy healthy and self-reliant. We can use this to make sure the California cancer doesn't metastasize, and prevent nation-wide inflation.

Actually it already has great natural barriers to the west in either very high mountains or very harsh desert, all that needs to be done is to destroy the roads

I say close California off from the rest of the USA for 90 days, with possibility of extension until Cases of severe TDS reach nearly zero.

Lived in California most of my life. This post title is so accurate it makes me rage. Gavin Newsom is holding a gun to this states head and demanding a ransom. Don't give it to him. If one blue states gets paid for this bullshit they will try it again and again. Don't negotiate with commie terrorists.

4
GAGASays 4 points ago +4 / -0

They could literally fire thousands of state employees and it would take 6 months for anyone to notice. Cops and fire fighters would be last on that list.

Schools. Police. Firemen. Roads. Why are these the things that are always targeted first?
