For many, veganism and vegetarianism is an easy way to eat like a child while feeling morally superior. Cake is vegetarian, candy is vegetarian, chips are vegan - dating a vegetarian made me gain weight in a hurry cuz all we ate was processed bullshit with tons of sugar
I mean a lot of vegan/vegetarian stuff has to be processed to hell and back or else it would be unpalatable.
Yeah all the fake crap tastes weird but grilled vegetables are vegan and delicious, yet they cry for fake bologna, beyond burgers and weird nut cheese
This has never made sense to me. If I want vegetables, I eat vegetables. If I want a bacon cheeseburger, I eat a bacon cheeseburger. It would be ridiculous if I made beef look and taste like broccoli and carrots. Why are beyond burgers, facon, and vegan "cheese" a thing.
How come it seems like we are always giving our farmers billions of dollars?

On one hand, I hate that I have to hunt around for ethanol free gas, on the other- agriculture is a national security issue, as is our ability to manufacture.
China is entering into a trade war with Australia. We are feeding china. China would not have any economic leverage against any Western countries if they can't feed themselves. Once Australia uncucks itself, maybe we can help them.

Food stamp abuse would vanish because now there's no more food stamps.
We give the post office the contract to deliver food to every household. They get a huge much needed revenue stream.
Farmers benefit because they can sell all of their b stock to the government instead of throwing it away.
Processing plants benefit because they just got a contract worth billions of dollars.
Normal people benefit because we can actually go to supermarkets again. I don't know about you, but I hate going to grocery stores with a burning passion. I haven't been to Walmart in years. I'll step foot in a Publix maybe 4 times a year, that's it for grocery shopping. Fuck being behind people in line who are paying with food stamps. They never have enough and are always trying to buy shit they know they're not supposed to.
Even if it's somehow slightly more expensive on paper, having the government choose what barely edible substenance you're going to consume today should be enough motivation to get people off it. Making them money. Don't like turkey? Well too bad, fuck you for being a lazy piece of shit.
Trump proposed this. Food packages instead of food stamps. The left lost their minds. Because how else would poor people buy their soda?
