Damn. She DESTROYS Sullivan. Just DESTROYS him. I'm an attorney and this situation is shocking.

That’s nice to hear from an attorney. My lay-person read was similar and I’m very proud of Sidney and Mike.

And inside baseball that you found particularly shocking? How often do you see writs of mandamus?

Edit: also Sullivan just scheduled oral arguments for all of this amicus brief bullshit for July 16. How does that affect the writ of mandamus?

A writ of mandamus against a judge is very rare. It's only used when he's clearly doing something extremely far outside what is right and normal.

The scheduling order doesn't mean much. He will put it on hold if the Appeals Court acts, which it very likely will. And since it was an emergency motion, they should be acting pretty quick. They'll probably order briefing in the next day or two.

There's no "legal" format, but there are style guides. Case citations are pretty universal. The most common style guide is called the Bluebook. Footnotes can be more free-form.
