I remember when Flynn was assigned Sullivan back when r/TheDonald sub was active. The lovefest for Sullivan was ripe. People were saying Sullivan was a based patriot judge.
I would guess the truth is probably a sad one. Iād guess he was a based judge and took on the government in the ted Stevens case and then they used their surveillance or dirty laundry tactics and found something on him that would make sure he never strayed again.
He was decent... in the past. Then he started calling Flynn a traitor in open court and all sorts of nonsense, like ignoring all the prosecutorial misconduct. Sydney quotes his own rulings to show how far out of whack he's gone due to the TDS.
In a just world, they'd throw him off the court and send him to prison for this nonsense.
Frankly I want to start a group after the Fokker ruling that points out that this use of "amicus curae" is nonsense, talk about our strong interest in stopping judicial misconduct and submit an amicus brief calling him a dirty Fokker.
But he'll just ignore all amicus briefs but those which support his narrative and they won't even get docketed because he'll find whatever obscure local rule he has to in order to claim that nobody who says things he doesn't want to hear have any right to be heard, but all his amici will be able to present whatever TDS drivel they want to the court for investigation.
I have a feeling this setup happened some time ago. How long has this amicus of his been working with Mueller prosecutors? He probably figures--and may even be right--that the worst he faces is a strongly worded letter given that he can't be too many years away from retirement at his age. In a just world, we'd impeach him for this egregious misconduct and abuse of discretion.
