They'll cite "armed riots" as an imminent threat to the lives of everyone in the community.
Many LEOs will call in sick or quit, but there will be enough rookies or dickwads remaining to make it work at least in the short term.

Lastly, the demographics the confiscations affected were mostly going to be people not inclined to fight back.

Or if your Governor is innocent of mass murder, focus on the most tyrannical Mayor in the State. 20,000 at each State Capitol insures nobody needs to get hurt. Class action lawsuits, both civil and criminal. See them die as paupers in prison.
I haven't seen anything inappropriate going on here in Spokane. People are just doing their own thing, enjoying the weather, doing some city construction, and waiting for things to open up again. I haven't felt any tension except for busy bodies on nextdoor.

I'm glad they're not quarantining healthy people, like most States. The State has no power to decide all small business are nonessential, while all huge conglomerates are essential.

I feel like the cops are in the unenviable position of having to keep their job to provide for their families in light of what's going on. Some cops will always be jerks no matter the circumstances. You give someone a badge and authority and they'll abuse it. Most of them want things to go back to normal as much as the rest of us.

Only my relatives, who are even liberal boomers, didn't give in to that shit.
