The Democrats are evil but not stupid. They know Joe isn’t going to be their candidate. We know it too. They actually played this card really well, edging Bernie out of the picture without any blowback from his supporters. Joe was the only candidate that they could use to do this, otherwise it would have been too obvious. Now Joe’s only job is to hang in there long enough towards the convention so he can drop out and the party can shoehorn their preferred candidate in before Bernie can mobilize his supporters.
Not so sure about no blowback from Bernie bros though, I had to go look through the Bernie sub after he called it quits, saw a lot of fuck Biden and he isn't getting my vote just because the Dems chose him. We'll have to see if that sticks though

Well, they haven't chosen him yet. Biden is the prop candidate drawing the public's (and Trump's) attention, taking the blows and covering for whoever they eventually nominate, also minimizing the amount of exposure their new candidate has before the election.

I still haven’t heard a single positive thing about Joe Biden from their side, only that he’s not Trump, which is true of all things living and dead, aside from Trump. It seems like their base would be more for Bernie, but I agree that they wouldn’t let Bernie run, it’d be another inner circle type, like a Clinton or Obama.
Obama’s likely not the number 1 worst president ever, but he’s definitely in the top 3-5, and is the number 1 most overhyped president. He got a Nobel Peace prize for fuck all. He didn’t do shit for 8 years, left the nation heavily divided, and even refused to cooperate with his successor.
