It shouldn't make a difference.. Your immune system is the primary protection. What appears to make HCQ helpful is that it restricts your immune system from overreacting to it.
Some of the other HCQ points are doubtful, and that's why the media wordsmiths their attacks to focus on HCQ being a cure when its primary use (even for Malaria) is as a preventative.
