Colbert needs to get his Judge's name out of his iniquitous mouth and hope, at best, a worm will provide some accidental occasional anal pleasure as it dieth not.

(also, Christ said The poor will always be with you, and If a man will not work, let him starve. But .. disseminating that doesn't empower Communism, then, does it, comrade.)

I'm not disagreeing with you on whether or not Colbert has kids in his basement, but I think Trump's massive success as GEOTUS despite not having a political background shows that we should be less dismissive of people's backgrounds when they branch out.

The evidence is overwhelming, but I personally like to remind myself of Matthew 7:1-29 before posting these kinds of things.

Jesus didn't "help" the poor by keeping them poor or allowing them to be accommodated in their ways. He was not a give a man a fish, he was a teach a man to fish.

A starving man cannot fish.

Hunger is a Strong motivator.

Historically, a hungry neighbor will eat You (as such) in a mere 10 days of starvation.

Fishing? Yeah .. that'd be on the table.

Being forced by government mandate to help the poor through higher taxes, most of which doesn't even reach the poor is not the right way to go about it. Helping the poor through an unforced individual decision to do so is much better, then 100% of what you give then gets to them instead of being siphoned of by a huge bureaucratic entity.
