I think it was Bill Engvall who did a "there I was" skit back in the 80's that always stuck in my head. He was talking about how the letters people write in playboy always start with "there I was..." "There I was, smeared in motor oil and she walks in with a saddle and a pair of jumper cables..." lol sorry, has nothing to do with this post, but the "there I was" reminded me.
