After doing enough of them you discover the words repeat, and the rest are literally just trivia questions/relevant to the puzzle theme. They are easier than Sudoku and you can quote me on that. Regardless of difficulty level, if it takes you more than 30 to 45 minutes to complete a puzzle, you just don't do them frequently enough.
So, saying that Joe is "Mentally Sharp" just because he can do crosswords is a Non Sequitur. Seriously, I'm wondering what this has to do with anything at all, who are they trying to impress here. Because he's got a long way to go if crosswords are all they can reference.
