They all vote the same damn way anyway. Maybe they could add a 10 question test regarding facts about the bill they are to vote on. Each party gets to create 5 of the questions. Multiple choice with a section for comments prior to voting, and their answers are public. Confirms they are aware of the contents of the bill. They are responsible to their constituents to indicate why they voted as they did based on contentious pieces in the legislation.

I really wish all these bills would be public as they are constructed and contain edit history attributed to who is making the changes, and allow the edits to be viewed live. So when a 1000 page bill comes due with some sketchy benefits, the person who made the changes has to own up to it.

If we could see how many bills are voted Yes on after a campaign contribution hits their account without soo much as looking at the bill, the American people would riot overnight.

Wouldn't be shocked if its 90%+ for smaller legislation, which makes up the lions share of laws passed.
